Minnesota used to be one of the best educated states in the country. Now only half our kids can read or do math at grade level. That is heartbreaking, and it is happening to children across every community in this state. Minnesota's kids deserve better than this. It is time to stop protecting the system and start protecting the students.

American compares 2 schools in the same area, both for the exact same funding, both had the same amount of teachers, facilities everything. They were only 10-15 miles apart - Floyd Central High School was 91% White students - New Albany High School was majorly black and multicultural students (of very close to majority, at least 41%+ from what I could find) The white high school performed better in every metric - Test scores - Teachers preferred working at Floyd Central because of less fights, better environment - Floyd Central beat them at every metric, every sport except basketball So the majority (or nearly majority) black and minority school was at a slightly less economic advantage, but the white kids that went to that school still outperformed the minority students in test scores, while they to were also being in that ‘less economically advantaged’ group So the proven claim here is - 2 school gets the same funding and assets, the white school did better in every metric - White kids that are also economically disadvantaged still performed better on tests then black students in the same bad financial position

I want to speak directly to San Francisco’s public-school parents and our students. I know many of you are worried about the possibility of a teacher strike that could temporarily close schools—and I want you to hear this clearly from me: our kids come first. As mayor, even though I don’t oversee our school district, I’m deeply committed to making sure our kids get a world-class education—with safe public schools where kids can learn and educators are well supported. It is crucial that our schools remain open. Every day in the classroom matters. I have been in regular contact with both the school district and the teachers union, and I am urging them to keep talking so kids can keep learning. Our working parents can’t afford to stay home if schools are closed. Our special needs students can’t afford to lose access to vital services that help them succeed. He attended classes and football practices for weeks before anyone figured it out. Rep. Elliott Engen is now leading the effort to make sure this never happens again. His Securing Our Schools package would close the loopholes that allowed this to occur by requiring schools to verify age and identity immediately, creating penalties for fraudulent enrollment, and directing the Minnesota Department of Education to track these cases statewide. Under current law, schools only “may” ask for documentation. Engen’s proposal changes that to “must.” One word that makes all the difference. A Minneapolis homeless advocacy group opposes the bill changes, claiming that it would “creates barriers.” That argument is reckless and dangerous. The Becker Schools in Minnesota released a statement about the incident where a teacher politically berated one of her students for not agreeing with her political gaslighting. Thankfully, the incident was filmed so it wouldn’t become a ‘he said/she said’ situation that the school system would sweep under the rug. But hey … they may still do just that. In a statement made by the school … Dr Jeremy Schmidt said a lot of contradictory things, while clearing up nothing. “We are maintaining a safe, structured learning environment (blah blah blah) …” —- make that make sense … how is it safe for a student when a teacher SHUTS THEM DOWN for having a different view or opinion than the teachers?! Is that considered part of their ‘structured learning environment’?! No one ever asked the school to PUNISH their entire community of teachers … WeThePeople simply asked that the particular teacher in question be suspended or fired for not providing a safe and respectful environment for her students. As far as ‘truth-seeking’ … she is on video, those are her words and actions … you can’t get anymore truthful than that. So don’t call our eyes or ears deceitful. Without those of us on social media bringing situations like this to the forefront … our schools will continue to get away with indoctrination and we parents are sick of it. All we ask is that our kids be taught: reading, writing, math, real science (not the ‘because I feel’ science), real history (not revisionist history to fit a narrative), civics and respect for our country. Leave activism, teacher’s opinions, teacher’s private life choices OUT OF OUR SCHOOLS. Even professors, from the mostly leftist universities, are beginning to complain that students entering college now can’t even read or have a basic understanding of things. THAT is the failure of our current education system and their activist staff!

The Becker Schools in Minnesota released a statement about the incident where a teacher politically berated one of her students for not agreeing with her political gaslighting. Thankfully, the incident was filmed so it wouldn’t become a ‘he said/she said’ situation that the school system would sweep under the rug. But hey … they may still do just that. In a statement made by the school … Dr Jeremy Schmidt said a lot of contradictory things, while clearing up nothing. “We are maintaining a safe, structured learning environment (blah blah blah) …” —- make that make sense … how is it safe for a student when a teacher SHUTS THEM DOWN for having a different view or opinion than the teachers?! Is that considered part of their ‘structured learning environment’?! No one ever asked the school to PUNISH their entire community of teachers … WeThePeople simply asked that the particular teacher in question be suspended or fired for not providing a safe and respectful environment for her students. As far as ‘truth-seeking’ … she is on video, those are her words and actions … you can’t get anymore truthful than that. So don’t call our eyes or ears deceitful. Without those of us on social media bringing situations like this to the forefront … our schools will continue to get away with indoctrination and we parents are sick of it.
