It is not. It's currently a misdemeanor. The bill in its original form would have made it a felony. Democrats voted that down.

Well, you lost this battle, but you have not lost the war and I hope and pray that the people in California will continue to see the wrongdoings and the injustice act towards children and start to back you up.

You guys need to fight them on this decision. This is a crime for them or anybody 18 year old and under should be a felony.
