Timelapse of supercell with defined mesocyclone on radar moving between Galveston & Bolivar just before 6am. Appears to have funnel cloud, possible waterspout, and definite rotating wall cloud. Lightning has been extreme with these storms! #waterspout #wallcloud #galveston #txwx #glswx

The "strobe light" effect with high lightning flash rates is exactly how I got into the business 👊⚡ I'm working on processing the data now. TAMU Galveston sensor is still going strong 👊⚡

@StephanieAbrams I’m just down the road from the jetties. As I stepped out on porch this AM, it seemed as if God had turned on a strobe light.

Look at this 😳 The storm currently raging over the Mediterranean is making history right now. ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️ Off the coast of Antibes – Monaco it has turned into a true lightning bomb. Countless flashes, sometimes more than one per second. But the real madness started a few hours ago and is still ongoing: 🌀 An extremely rare, powerful and tightly packed mesocyclone is currently active over the Mediterranean. Inbound (green) and outbound (red) velocities are almost stacked on top of each other. maximwx measured a VROT of around 59 knots (≈ 109 km/h). This is an exceptionally high value for Europe, and especially for the Mediterranean. Typical fair-weather waterspouts rarely exceed 30-40 knots. A 59-knot rotational velocity clearly confirms this is a true tornadic waterspout produced by a supercell. The same cell later produced a second rotation with VROT exceeding 50 knots, and a rare “donut hole” appeared on reflectivity — something almost never seen on European radars. This is one of the cleanest, strongest and most textbook tornadic waterspout-producing supercells we’ve seen over the Mediterranean in the summer of 2026. If it had moved inland the damage potential would have been significant, but its track is remaining entirely over water. The radar data alone is already in the “insane” category. #Supercell #Tornado #Waterspout #Lightning #SevereWeather #Mediterranean #StormChaser #Weather

List of Tornado in Tamil Nadu in last 15 years, we stand that Yesterday event in Thoothukudi was indeed a Tornado. 1. Chennai (Uthandi) September 12, 2013 (1st Photo enclosed) 2. Sankarankoil in Tirunelveli November 18, 2015 3. Nazareth in Thoothukudi October 26, 2016 4. Thoothukudi on June 21, 2026 (yesterday event, 2nd photo enclosed) In 2013, it was hard to see whether the funnel cloud touched the ground. But IMD officials confirmed that it was Tornado after thorough analysis. This time, IMD has stated that the Thoothukudi event of June 2026 was not a tornado. However, instead of undertaking a detailed investigation into why such an unusual phenomenon occurred and whether similar events could become more frequent in the future, the matter appears to have been closed rather hastily. There are compelling reasons why the Thoothukudi event warrants closer scientific scrutiny. What makes the event noteworthy is the combination of: • A visible funnel cloud/vortex; • Reported injuries (6 members of the public) • Structural damage and uprooted trees see the video - • Occurrence beneath an active thunderstorm. Taken together, these characteristics are consistent with features commonly associated with weak tornadoes or landspouts. While the final classification should be based on detailed meteorological and damage assessments, the available evidence suggests that the event deserves a comprehensive post event study rather than a summary dismissal. The damage patterns visible in the photographs and videos shared through the links, together with eyewitness accounts, appear to indicate that the rotating funnel extended from the cloud base to the ground. The visual evidence suggests a continuous connection between the cloud and the surface, accompanied by localized damage along its path. Attention should be given to understanding why such tornado like phenomena have been observed repeatedly in Tamil Nadu over the past decade and whether changing atmospheric and oceanic conditions are making them more likely.

THERE IT IS 🚨 Mainstream media finally reporting our skies are being sprayed to cloud seed and change the weather New cloud seeding drones are also being introduced into America We need a nationwide ban over populated areas before this expands “Well, much of the country is plagued by drought, and while cloud seeding with silver iodide powder like this is nothing new, it's been around for decades Doing it by drone, that could be a huge game changer. Leading the charge on this front is Rainmaker, a startup company here in Southern California that's already adding a bit to overall precipitation levels in California, Oregon, Idaho, and Utah. CEO Augustus Derico, especially proud of ongoing efforts to save the Great Salt Lake, which is currently just half of what it was back in the 1980s. Working with state governments in Utah and Idaho, Rainmaker has had its drones seeding clouds to enhance snowpack and runoff into Salt Lake — Drought is hardly limited to the West. In fact, much of the Southeast is currently plagued with conditions categorized as extreme or exceptional — But cloud seeding is controversial and actually banned in Florida, Tennessee, and Louisiana. Rainmaker argues there's been human intervention throughout history in handling water resources. Now, cloud seeding with drones also offers new hope with firefighting, and more moisture in the ground overall would also help with fire prevention” It’s actually been around much longer has been practiced for over 80 years and is actively used in multiple states. Cloud seeding began with experiments in the 1940s. As of 2024–2025, at least nine states have active programs: California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming Silver Iodide Dry Ice (Solid Carbon Dioxide) Sodium Chloride (Table Salt) Calcium Chloride Potassium Iodide Liquid Propane And a few more chemicals are used in cloud seeding We don’t want to be breathing this stuff in. Ban it over populated areas. Don’t forget the chemicals come down as rain and get absorbed by our crops
