The first time our kids saw their dad clean-shaven they still knew who he was and were fine with it. But our 5-year-old Labrador Retriever cornered him, growling, snarling & trying to attack. When he finally figured it out, he hid in embarrassment the rest of the day. 😅

When I shaved off my beard for the first time my wife told my daughter "Look, Gwyn, Daddy scraped off his beard." Her terse reply "Scrape it back on Dad!"

Felt the same way when my dad cut his Jerry curl off on my 9th birthday. He came to my school to pick me up and I was like “Daddy. Your hair!?! It’s gone!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣

😂 Once, when I was 7 and my sister was 4, we walked into the kitchen and saw what we thought was a stranger kissing mum. So we both started crying 😭……that was no stranger, that was dad who had shaved off his beard that day without us realising. We still laugh about that to this day, many many years later. We really didn’t recognise him at all, so I totally sympathise with those children. 😝
