The government is robbing the people with the level of increase in Electricity. It’s a shame how this government after bragging in opposition has resorted to piling up economic pressure unto the people. At the end of this 1st quarter, we expect the government to reduce the electricity tariffs to reflect the massively improved Macro economic indicators and in line with PURCs own principles and also consistent with the IMF Agreement. The government should resist any temptation to increase electricity tariffs at the end of this quarter as same will be resisted fiercely by the People.
