Love and Deepspace story writing is honestly breathtaking. LONG POST AND SPOILERS AHEAD! Xavier's 3rd myth "Where Stars Scatter" was so emotionally impactful-- I have not been this impressed in a game's story writing since FFXIV Shadowbringers. Xavier's story alone deserves its own video game. Please listen to these story beats and watch this video as it truly is an epic fantasy😭 -A benevolent Queen sacrifices herself to sustain the life of the planet, called Philos. Humans are sacrificed as offerings to the planet to keep the life force of the planet afloat, ultimately making them almost immortal -The Queen wants to stop this cycle by offering herself as she has the equivalent of a life force of the Universe resting within her heart. -The man she loves, Prince Xavier, knows of this secret of the planet and determines to set things right. -He gathers a crew and travels across time and space to find a way to save her and stop this endless cycle of sacrifice. He tells her he will be back, but he is not sure when. -He does not succeed to stop the cycle, and when he finally returns to his timeline, the Queen is dead. -He mourns her for centuries, never forgetting her, never marrying, crippled by the grief of failing her. However, the people of Philos begin to forget who she was and what she even did for humanity. -Prince Xavier ends up becoming King but is stuck between a perpetual war between the living and dead, now called the "Mad King" because he shuts himself out to anyone and anything. He wields a sword that can kill the dead, and only he can use it. However, he knows that the world in which they live in is doomed. -In Sinderfell, there is a "Pilgrimage" that happens each year where people are chosen to look for the Tree of Life, which is said to grant immortality. -This ceremony actually turns out to be the same with humans being sent to be sacrifices for the planet yet again. -The Queen finds out the truth about this and decides to stop this once and for all, where supposedly the Tree of Life stems from. She finds that the river and the cave that it leads to is lined with corpses of those who were sacrificed to become monsters (Wanderers) -The Tree of Life does exist, and it is akin to a kind of energy force of not just the planet but the universe itself. However, the Queen herself has that same energy coursing in her body (this is also prevalent in the overarching main story of Love and Deepspace) -The Tree of Life gives her a choice: return to a divergence point Prince Xavier created in the fabric of time when he traveled back to try to find a way to save the Queen from sacrificing herself. Or she could stay in this false world. She chooses to return to the divergence point. -Her decision causes the destruction of the current Philos, which leads to an all out war. -She rushes back to King Xavier and together they fight off the undead who have turned into Wanderers. However, because of her choice to go back to the divergence point in time, King Xavier knows that their time together is coming to an end -Before the world ends, the sun finally breaks through the darkness surrounding the world. King Xavier and the Queen imagine themselves in a field of yellow flowers and share a kiss. They are then shown back at the battlefield. -Because the Queen chose to return to the divergence point, she dies in King Xavier's arms as the world fades away -The Tree of Life thanks the Queen for choosing to be with Xavier as the divergence point would bring her back to him, and they could live out their lives together in happiness. -The story ends with a flashback of Xavier traveling the cosmos to find a solution to stop the endless cycle of sacrifice, but before he leaves, he records a short message to the Queen to tell her that he knows she will be a good Queen. And the Queen knows that Xavier will find her, in some place and time in this universe. --- I dunno about you, but all of that above is just the surface of the overarching story of Love and Deepspace as it's only one character's side story. I simplified a lot of the summary above, but it does paint such a vivid picture with amazing imagery and lore. The game has just brilliant writing, and the acting, music, visuals, and world building is phenomenal. Bravo 😭

I can't say everything was 100% intentional I had alot of ideas about Gura's Ash Again and how the art/message could be interpreted as an internal conflict with oneself but i think these designs worked well for the metaphor of her inner child/innocence , silly goofy who just wanted to have fun vs her as the queen/ruler It ties together well cuz her character originally worked for the king , and then stole the trident to run away because it was boring So her as the queen or future ruler of Atlantis brings her true self anger and confusion and desperation ( hence why she fights ) but her as the queen is just done, angry, and wants revenge, to silence the voice telling her it doesn't have to be the way it is no matter how much she tries to kill that part of her it relentlessly comes back until she can accept it at the end they were never separate people and she accepts there's no reason to fight herself the very last scene with the two of them, after accepting this is her, and that she's the same person except with the power she has now, The scene switches around the places of where they were standing, with hoodie Gura now where the ruler fighting for revenge was taking place as her real self, and her Atlantis self now as the image in her head The Atlantis version of herself does this creepy lean in in some sort of attempt to hug her before they merge, but she has no visible face that she's seen as so powerful and almost 'beyond human' that she'd have no face, rather existing as an image of strength and having achieved "ruling" like this image of what everyone expected her to be still somewhat existing in a whisper because in the end it was her who achieved it tries to guide her one last time Before she's just left as her current self with one path forward I'm just thinking i thought it was a really cool art piece

This is a MASSIVE change to the fabric of this country and it’s just been thrown out there like it’s nothing, a minor note at the bottom of the company minutes…in reality I see this as a huge constitutions change and a big problem for the monarchy and the country. The monarch IS and always has been since the 1530’s Degender of “The Faith”. This country has a state religion. Anglican, or the Church of England. The monarchy cat just throw that away like yesterday’s chip paper! This is a Christian country NOT a multi faith country. We may have people of many religions within it, we always have, but the country and its entire fabric is Christian. This is a disgrace and to my mind is a big step towards the end of our Monarchy (who I have always supported). Sometimes when we rescue dogs, it really is a life-or-death situation and that's very much the case for this tiny little girl who got reported to us yesterday. At first locals and the authorities told us that she had been poisoned so it was her race to empty her stomach and try and keep her alive. The team had been battling for the last 24 hours and it was very much touch and go. Today we've seen some amazing progress and her first tail wag! She's been undergoing a series of tests to eliminate any possible poisons and she's also been analyzed on her brain. Whatever happened, this dog has definitely had a massive trauma but she seems to be just about through the worst of it. It's way too early for her to regain use of her limbs yet but it was good to see that she was able to lift her head today at least. This is very much a dog who wants to live and wants to get better but her body just won't let her yet. There is so much fight left in her though. I called her Espresso because she looked dark with a little hint of coffee on her and then I thought I'd give her her full name of Espresso Martini 🍸 ☕️ I would say her road to recovery will take weeks but the medical team are hopeful after her first 24 hours of progress that there might just be a future for this beautiful little girl ❤️🤞

Upon the green hills of the Austrian Alps, Maria, portrayed by Julie Andrews, stretches out her arms and begins to sing The Sound of Music. Around her lie sweeping mountain ranges, open meadows and an expansive sky. The lyrics speak of hills filled with music, songs that have echoed through the ages, and the joy of a heart united with the natural world. The scene is often remembered for the beauty of its imagery and its unforgettable melody. Yet the lasting power of this opening lies in something deeper. Robert Wise builds the entire sequence upon a single organising principle: he does not place Maria at the centre of the world. Instead, he allows the human person to discover their place within a greater order. It is precisely by belonging within that order that human beauty is most fully revealed. This principle is established from the very first images. The film does not begin with a close-up of Maria's face. Nor does it introduce her through narration or dialogue. Instead, the camera first opens onto the vastness of mountains, sky and open fields. Only after the audience has absorbed the scale and grandeur of the landscape does Maria appear, as one element within the wider composition. This is more than a visual choice. It establishes the relationship between the human person and the world. Nature is not there simply to draw attention to Maria. Nor does Maria arrive to conquer or dominate the landscape. Both belong within the same order, where every element has its proper place. For that reason, when Maria begins to sing, the audience does not feel that she is performing before nature. The music does not begin with Maria. The hills are already alive with song. Her voice does not bring life to nature. It is a response to a beauty that was already there. The verses that follow continue the same thought. Her heart longs to sing every song it hears. To laugh with the streams. To sing like the birds among the hills. Here, the human person does not stand apart from the world to observe or control it. Instead, they become part of the rhythm already woven into nature. Robert Wise expresses the same principle through the language of cinema. Wide landscape shots are used more frequently than close-ups. The camera keeps enough distance for Maria and the surrounding landscape to share the same frame. Even when she spins across the hillside or runs through the meadows, the landscape retains a significance equal to that of the character herself. The audience therefore does not watch Maria alone. They experience the wider world to which she belongs. This creates an important distinction. Had Maria consistently dominated the frame, the landscape would merely have become a backdrop. Robert Wise chooses a different approach. He allows nature, the human figure and the music to participate together in a unified composition. No element exists simply to serve another. Each contributes to the meaning of the whole. This also explains why Maria's movements feel so natural. Her turns, her steps and her gestures are never designed simply to draw attention to herself.
