I didn’t expect Grok’s video model to improve this much. Today, when I was generating a video with Seedance 2.0, I found the results weren’t very good. So I tried using the exact same source material and prompt in Grok instead. To my surprise, Grok actually produced better results than Seedance 2.0. I’ve put the prompt and source material in the comments, so if you’re interested, you can give it a try too. The left side shows the video generated by Grok, and the right side shows the video generated by Seedance 2.0.

$NEW: Man was gambling on his phone while driving when he crashed into a pregnant woman, causing her to give birth prematurely. 30-year-old Jack Bentley was arrested and thrown in jail following the incident. The woman, two children who were in the car, and their pet dog were all injured in the crash, which happened in Derby, England. The woman suffered a fractured pelvis and had to undergo an emergency Caesarean section. The baby was in intensive care for multiple weeks. All vehicles, including ours, were completely stuck, and it was extremely difficult to make way for the ambulance. In such critical moments, a patient inside the ambulance can lose the battle of life due to a few minutes of delay. At the same time, it can clearly be seen that the BRT route was entirely empty. Therefore, we strongly request you ,the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the concerned authorities to allow ambulances to use the BRT route (BRT lane) in emergency situations, so that they can reach hospitals quickly and save precious human lives. I made a dumb mistake with my water shader🤦🏻‍♂️ The wave evolution equation has two parts: a standing wave component and a traveling wave component. When I was first getting this all to work, I hard-coded constants so the waves were always traveling forward at full speed. By adding a "standing wave ratio" where I can control the ratio between the two terms, I can now achieve wave patterns that oscillate in place. The video on the left has SWR = 0 and the video on the right SWR = 0.7 (I exaggerated the waves a bit to make the difference more noticeable). Now I have to re-record all my marketing videos...😭
