You can buy motul chain cleaner, lube and a chain brush for like $30. If you can't afford that very very basic upkeep, you shouldn't own a bike.

Excuse me, but seed oil? 🤨 Appears to be a good idea until it's turns rancid, than first become sticky, after which hardens... Mixing with other materials? Yeah... It does not changes its chemical formula and what it does, since there isn't any chemical reaction involved.
