@genkiclytie No, she doesn't mean " getting beat" She lets him feel like a man, she gives him what a lot of men need to feel needed. She concentrates on being a 'wife' not a 'mother' to him.

Seems like she's 'choosing' to be this way, and that she's very giving, unlike how many sound below in the comments. And what man wouldn't want a woman how makes him feel like the adult he is versus making him feel like he's a little kid. It would be a much better world if we embraced others happiness instead of bashing it.

This is just showing basic respect to your spouse. There's nothing in this to suggest she's in an abusive marriage. Most marriage counselors would even make some of these suggestions, like softening your choice of words, for example.

i think it's really sad when people that seem to be feminist have to police other womens' way of life. being a submissive wife is valid if its her choice. being a butch lesbian is valid if its her choice. being trad or goth or makeup or no makeup or tampon or freebleed are all ok

This is called being a good partner. There’s little value to nag, overly critique, speak aggressively, etc.
