To real ID Or not to real ID That is the question

I had to provide my social security number and birth certificate—and I had to renew my license anyway. It took no extra effort and I had to provide documents that the state and federal government already had access to. I’ve had real ID for years. Not a big deal.

the gov already have your info

We moved to South Dakota. No choice but to get a Real ID when getting your license. I don't see a problem with it and the only additional piece of information I had to provide was a divorce decree showing I changed my name back to my maiden name.

So I went to renew my driver’s license to realize I already had a real ID (I guess I got one 10 years ago and did not realize 🤦♀️). They did not need any documentation and just looked at my expiring one. I was ready to provide the information requested though (American passport which covers basically all requirements and two proofs of residence). Pretty quick and straightforward in WI.

What is soooo interesting Fletch is I received a real ID in Michigan. Then when I moved to Wisconsin, they said I had to do it all over again. Really makes me wonder what’s up with this system hmm 🤔

In some states if you want to renew your license to drive you are not given the option to choose real ID or not. The only choice you have is real ID driver's license and be able to legally drive or no driver's license

Moved to GA in 2013. Went to get my DL & had to prove why my last name had changed (divorce/marriage paperwork). No big deal! Didn't even realize til now that I already had a "real ID". It is all paperwork that is already on file with the govt agencies 🙄

Nope! Got a passport! Screw that crap!

She seems bat shit crazy to me. 🤷🏼♀️

Screw REALID!!!
