Labour councillor Chris Foote-Wood calls Nigel Farage's warning to get rid of civil servants working on climate change and diversity initiatives "disgraceful." Speaking at a celebration event in County Durham, the Reform party leader told those civil servants to "seek alternative careers very, very quickly." Foote-Wood is one of four Labour councillors left on Durham County Council after Reform UK won more than half of the seats.

How does the Palestinian Ambassador, invited to speak on stage, who famously refused to condemn Hamas, feel about all that rainbow regalia? Bet that's not in his script! The BBC are clutching their pearls again. Not because County Durham is being turned into the South’s glorified dumping ground, but because I dared to use an AI image to illustrate it. They can’t attack the argument, so they scream about the pixels. Here is the reality they want you to ignore: families are being shipped up here, and the cost is being dumped squarely on your council tax bill as thousands of locals languish on the waiting list. The BBC knows this is true—they literally produced a podcast on this exact issue weeks ago. I can’t use real photos of the chaos without breaching copyright, so I used AI. Florida tax payers have been hit by local property taxes as many local governments have increased their budgets significantly. Today, I am calling on all Florida counties and municipalities to voluntarily work with our Florida DOGE team to review local spending and financial practices. In Bay county, the county commission will be adopting a resolution to collaborate with Florida DOGE and review finances. Thanks to Bay County, FL for leading by example.

A second Union Flag has been raised outside of Essex County Council’s headquarters in Chelmsford, following control of the authority transferring to Reform UK after last week’s elections. The move brings Essex County Council in line with Reform UK national policy, which only permits the Union, national, county or armed forces flags to fly at council buildings under its control. “Today we have raised a second Union Flag at County Hall in Chelmsford. It was a proud moment to see it flying high, representing all of the nations that make up our wonderful United Kingdom.” Cllr Peter Harris, Leader of the Council’s Reform UK group and County Council Leader Elect. The flag of Ukraine that had previously flown since 2022 has been replaced, and following discussions with the Ukrainian community in the county, will find a new home. Councillor Harris said: “The replacement of the Ukraine flag does not diminish the support and generosity that Essex residents have shown the people of Ukraine since 2022 and I know this will continue.”

Andy Burnham can babble on about "devolution" all he likes, but try telling that to the terrified residents in County Durham having asylum HMOs forced on them behind closed doors. The Home Office and its private contractors are overriding communities, leaving locals terrified and forgotten. When the system refuses to listen to working people, the ballot box is broken. I will never apologise for fighting for our communities against this utter betrayal.

We just completed our 5th operation of 2026 here at #V4CR. In this one, we got 7 more arrests and 26 warrants on the child predators we caught. According to NCMEC’s stats that each predator harms 70 children in their lifetime on average, this op, alone, indicates 2,310 children spared from unthinkable trauma or death. We’re thankful and proud of our law enforcement allies working with us on this cause!
