We have noted with deep concern, a rise in criminal gangs mostly sponsored by leaders. I'm sounding a warning to all criminal gangs out there to either disband or face the full force of the law. These gangs undermine our peace and lead our youth down the path of criminality. Leaders who are misusing our youth to form gangs to achieve a political end will be prosecuted regardless of their political affiliation or influence.

Mamata Banerjee and Shri Abhishek Banerjee, our delegation, accompanied by victims of the brutal SIR process, reached the Office of the Chief Election Commissioner to expose a fundamentally broken, biased, and coercive exercise that has inflicted untold misery on ordinary citizens and already claimed 150 innocent lives in Bengal. They will demand immediate corrective action and full institutional accountability for this human catastrophe.

Today, in my capacity as the President of NANS, I led all the structures of NANS, including sister unions, NAUS, NAPS, NANCES and NFSAN to the Community High school, Ahoro-Esiele, and Yawato community in Orire Local Government area of Oyo state, where we visited the scenes where our students and teachers were abducted. Going forward, we met with the King, some of the families of the victims, and parents in the communities of Ahoro-Esiele and Yawato communities. Furthermore, we assured them of our solidarity and support for them in this time of trouble and grief. Subsequently, we assured them that we are constantly calling on the government to ensure the immediate rescue and safe return of the abducted students and teachers. Conclusively, I assured all Nigerian Students that as far as I remain their President, I will continue to protect their interest. Our leaders arrived at the appointed time of 6 PM to meet MoS Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti only to be subjected to an outrageous 90-minute wait following which they were informed that an audience was not possible. Let it be known that our Nat'l GS Shri Abhishek Banerjee, and our leaders will not budge from Krishi Bhawan until the Minister acknowledges the blatant disrespect and meets with our delegation.

On the day that marks the end of a month of sacrifice, it was fitting that we joined those who sacrifice to keep us safe at the COAS Sallah Luncheon for Troops in the Field of 2 Division Area of Responsibility in Igbeti, Olorunsogo LGA. As I said in my remarks, their welfare is our shared responsibility and we will continue to do all we can to support them to carry out their duties. May their sacrifices never be in vain and may Nigeria continue to find peace through their service to the nation.
