Yesterday, as Museveni sought to extend his oppressive, criminal rule beyond 4 decades, he unleashed a gang of desperate youth to instil fear and wreak havoc in Kampala. They robbed and beat up citizens in broad daylight, as they boasted that they're untouchable. These are the same gangs that were unleashed to cause chaos in the Kawempe North by-election, and recently in the youth elections. While they quickly abduct and arrest our supporters whenever they're seen on the streets, these gangs have the liberty to roam our streets committing crimes under the protection of the military and police. Commanded by Museveni’s enforcers Christopher Damulira and one Emma Kuteesa, these gangs have been beating up our supporters, removing posters of our candidates, and causing incredibe mayhem. This criminal enterprise was formed following the 2021 rigged election when Museveni tried to impose himself on the ghetto and our people rejected him flat. They resorted to recruiting poor, desperate youth who they pay peanuts and send them to terrorise citizens in the hope that they can force them into submission. Well, those who form and command these criminal gangs must remember that the wheels of justice may come slow, but they will definitely arrive. The people of Uganda only need to keep track of all crimes committed against them. Finally, we have time and again advised and warned the young people who accept to be used in these criminal schemes by the very people who have stolen their future and turned them into beggars. As our people say, it is only a stupid fly that follows the corpse to the grave! You're better off fighting alongside other citizens to get your country back instead of being fed on crumbs from the spoil, while those who use you continue to plunder and steal the future of your children and grandchildren.

Kaikai: I am just thinking of the irony that we deployed police officers to Haiti to fight gangs and we have a gang-like deployment in Othaya, Nyeri, to attack a church, regardless of who was in there, whether the target was a political figure in the name of Rigathi Gachagua. This is irresponsible. Today, Linda Mwananchi leaders have been attacked in Kisumu and Nyahururu. Yesterday, a DCP campaign truck was attacked in Ol Kalou. Only God knows what is being planned for Thursday during the by-elections in Ol Kalou. If violence is allowed to spread unchallenged across the country, no opposition party or coalition will be spared. The ultimate objective is to make it increasingly difficult for the opposition to campaign freely and for citizens to participate without fear. The opposition leaders will be made to retreat to boardrooms, due to threats of extreme violence, as government aligned politicians campaign freely across the country. That’s the plan. At this point, one might be tempted to think that one of the objectives of the mission to Haiti was about studying the playbook of organized gangs, and have that implemented here to to stifle the opposition, intimidate citizens and shrink the democratic space. Every Kenyan regardless of political affiliation should be concerned about what is currently unfolding in our country. Kenya does not belong to us alone. It is an inheritance we hold in trust for our children. What kind of country do we want to leave them? One where they can live, work and pursue their dreams in peace, or one where violence, intimidation and gangs dominate our streets and our politics?
