One of my all time favourite games, and probably mostly unknonw outside of the German market, is Mad TV (Rainbow Arts, 1991). You take on the role as program director of a TV station. For someone who grew up in a time with very few TV channels (4), this was an absolute dream. You decide what TV shows and movies to buy, when to air them, what ad-deals to take on, eventually produce your own shows, fight for higher ratings against competing stations, and increase your reach buy buying (expensive) TV satellites to broadcast to a larger audience. Going from low budget TV shows, to eventually being able to purchase the rights to live broadcast the Super Bowl and air the most expensive ads, is such a blast. It's almost like a mini Netflix, just decades before Netflix was a household name. If you love business sims with a bit of an unusual background, I highly recommend Mad TV. You can find it on many websites to play for free, in your browser. I would love to see a remake of this with a multiplayer option...

as I'm sure many of you have come to realize - "waking up" is very different from "understanding" why things in the world and on TV seem to be happening at a pace and in a way that you cannot affect or do anything about - nor can you look or walk away, for very long. that's the place I needed to get to in order to understand that we really are watching a scripted movie, that in fact, the only thing we can do is know about it, wake people up to it and enjoy the show - and PRAY. this clip encapsulates where it's all headed and why.

How to set up Claude Cowork so it actually works like an AI chief of staff (not just another chatbot): 1. Most people open Cowork, type a message, and get generic output. It's not a Claude problem. It's a setup problem. Cowork needs context before it can help you. Who you are. How you work. What you're building. Your team. Your priorities. Give it that, and every session feels like picking up a conversation with an executive assistant. 2. The setup has three layers: a) Global instructions (who you are, how you work, what Claude should never do). b) Connectors (Slack, Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion) c) And a folder structure on your computer that acts as Claude's long-term memory. That combination is what takes it from generic to personalized. 3. Skills are the real leverage. A skill is a markdown file that tells Claude exactly how to do one thing well. Write my newsletter. Coach me on a decision. Review a case study. Each skill lives in its own folder with context, examples, and a definition of what success looks like. 4. We built a CEO coach skill in the video below. Gave it business context, leadership style, company goals. Then tested it with a real decision: should we increase our newsletter from once to twice a week? It came back with trade-offs, second-order consequences, and risk assessment. 5. Then we built a multi-agent advisory board. Five subagents, each with a defined persona: a) the operator b) the skeptic c) the customer advocate d) the finance partner e) the legal/risk advisor. You feed it a decision. Each agent evaluates independently. The main agent synthesizes the feedback. It's like having a board meeting on demand. 6. Third skill: a thought leadership content pipeline. Topic scoring, idea capture, distribution cadence, tone calibration. All built from your actual expertise and audience. Designed so an executive can go from idea to published post without starting from scratch every time. 7. The workspace map is what ties it all together. It's a top-level file that shows Claude how to navigate your entire setup. Which folders exist, what skills live where, how to invoke them. Without it, Claude has to search for everything. With it, Claude goes straight to what it needs. 8. Everything you build is portable. The folder structure works in Cowork, Claude Code, and Codex. Push it to a private GitHub repo and you can access it from your phone through Claude Code, or use Claude Dispatch. 9. The pattern is repeatable. Pick a task you do often. Create a folder. Build a skill. Add examples of what success looks like, and what a bad output looks like. Test it. Workshop it. Move on to the next one. Each skill is like onboarding a new employee who never forgets and never needs to be re-trained. The people who invest in this setup now are the ones who will have a 10x advantage when these tools get even better. And they're getting better fast. One distinct memory I have from playing games in the 80s was that every once in a while I would stumble across a game that looked epic but I had exactly zero clue what to do. Wizball was such a game. Looked and sounded pretty cool, but... "where to go, what to do, and what's the goal here?" - something along those lines went through my mind at the time. I stuck with it an eventually (much later) figured it out. Do you remember a game that you played but didn't really know what the goal was or how to get there?

How I have Claude automate anything I do on my computer just by showing it: I use the free Clips app and hit record to start recording. Then I just do the action - like navigating to Rippling and approving any unapproved time off - and I’ll often just talk out loud as I do it explaining any add’l details like I would when showing a human. The Clips app captures everything on your screen and everything you say, and transforms it into a format Claude can “see and hear”. You'll then get a link that you can easily share with Claude (or humans too). I’ll paste it to Claude and say something like, "automate this for me every day at 8:00 AM." The link has special metadata that agents like Claude can discover. It exposes APIs to see the full transcript with timestamps and grab screenshots of what was on your screen at any of those timestamps. Once it's created the routine, you can go to the Routines tab in Claude Code desktop app. This also works with the CLI, Claude Cowork, Codex etc. You’ll see your new routine there, and you can just hit Run Now to have it start running it. Video attached shows this step by step. The Clips apps is free and open source - I’ll link to it and the source code in the thread.

I solved building decks with AI agents — by giving them a CLI tool like Powerpoint or Google Slides. AI could already make a beautiful deck if you asked it to using Ant's pptx skill. The problem was working with it. If it made one alignment mistake, fixing it on one slide would break something on another, and it became a game of whack-a-mole. One time I spent two days playing AI roulette, hoping the next prompt would finally fix the thing, and ended up building the whole deck by hand because I was on a deadline. So I built Hands-on Deck. And the reason it works is that this isn't just a skill — this is PowerPoint. The actual application: PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote, whatever you use. This is that, but for an agent, presented as a CLI. Every gesture you make in a deck app maps to a command. Click a box and type, drag a shape from here to there, look at a slide – agent can do it all in a command. And that changes how the agent behaves. With this CLI it works and thinks like a designer — it looks, makes an edit, looks again, makes another surgical edit. Compare that to Anthropic's pptx skill, built on the idea that Claude is a great programmer: it literally writes code to manipulate the deck, hand-editing XML and hoping it doesn't break anything else in the middle. The real test isn't creating something once — it's whether it can make surgical edits like you want. That's what I did in this video walkthrough and my claude crushed it! Check it out for yourself. So decks can be built like a designer now — with real flavor and taste. If you spend hours every week on decks, this gives those hours back. Growing up, when life was still really good, anytime this “to me,to you” Indomie advert came on TV, my siblings and I would drop whatever we were doing and rush to the TV. We would sing along, passionately mimicking every line and gesture. Our dream was to be those kids, and to grow into the kind of people the song encouraged us to be. The funny part is how the advert worked exactly as intended. The moment it ended, we would start feeling hungry and craving Indomie. It became our Indomie moment. There was hardly a day we didn’t eat it. If my mum asked, “What do you guys want to eat?” She would get the same answer from all of us: “Indomie!” That was the golden age of meaningful TV ads. With that ad, Indomie marketed their product and taught a whole generation about the beauty of sharing, kindness, and caring for others. Were you there? Do you have any such moments? TV critic and broadcaster Scott Bryan joined BBC Breakfast this morning to speak about the autism representation in 'Heated Rivalry' ❤️ "Heated Rivalry, which is of course a word-of-mouth hit […] I think it’s a show that really resonated for a quite few reasons […] It depicted neurodivergence; many people picking up one of the characters in the drama, played by Shane, is autistic. I think it highlighted the traits that he was experiencing in a really grounded way, but also highlighted all of the other parts of his personality as well. His autism wasn’t the only thing we learnt about him. I think for myself, I found out I was autistic only a couple of years ago, and this was the first depiction of autism on TV that I saw to be really quite relatable and realistic, and I know for a lot of other people they found it to be the same way."

I had been grinding it out on the road - over 1,000 shows a year- 5 shows a day often. High schools in the morning, 2 or 3 radio or record store parking lot appearances. Opening for a band, and then my own coffee shop show in the evening. No one wanted to play me on the radio. I developed a loyal grass roots following on line. And then this tv appearance happened. Momentum began to pick up - and quickly. I went from selling a few thousand albums a year, to one MILLION every month for the next year…what a ride… Love you all for making this album happen ❤️

My label asked me what we should do to pitch for a BRIT Awards performance… I was thinking about the lyric “she fills up every corner like she’s born in black and white” from Suddenly I See, and thought about how we might be able to make it feel like the TV had gone into old school black and white…20 tap dancers always help!! As does a second drum kit that you can jump on for the ending 😎🤘🏼 Looking forward to seeing the performances this year 💫
