I will not watch Edo be destroyed by cultists, kidnappers, and criminals. Today, I supervised the demolition of a house where children were kidnapped, tortured, and used for rituals. That is why I have reintroduced the monthly environmental sanitation exercise — every last Saturday of the month from 7:00am to 10:00am — as a collective effort to clean our surroundings, restore order, and safeguard public health. When I declared a State of Emergency on public schools in Edo State on March 25th, 2025, after visiting Army Day Secondary School and a few other schools across the state, I meant every word. What I saw that day was unacceptable — children learning in dilapidated classrooms, unsafe environments, and schools abandoned by time. I promised immediate action, and today, the transformation speaks for itself. Army Day Secondary School has been totally rebuilt with modern classrooms, new desks and chairs, clean learning environments, and essential teaching tools that inspire excellence. And this same wave of progress is reaching many other public schools across Edo State. This is Practical Governance in motion. Education remains a top priority in our Five-Point Agenda because we cannot build the future while neglecting the foundation.
