Today I learned that Matthew McConaughey has a sick golf swing. And that he talks about golf kind of like his character from True Detective would. 😂

“When I was a kid I played with a big slice off the tee and I couldn’t hit anything but a big slice, but I learned to score with that.” Asked Viktor Hovland about playing golf vs. golf swing and I really liked his answer:

Matthew McConaughey in True Detective (2014) is on another level. His Rust Cohle performance is all slow-burn philosophy, broken memories, and haunted stillness, the kind of layered, precise acting that rewired his entire career. One of TV’s great turns.

Links golf can break your golf swing if you're not careful. Rory McIlroy has a simple way to prevent that from happening. 👀

REMEMBER Petty Officer: “What is your true golf handicap not according to Fake News and are you and President Biden going to play that golf match?” President Trump: “I’d love to. I’ve invited him, but he doesn’t want to show up. I know a lot about golf. I’ve won 38 club championships.” “Biden can’t hit a ball 30 yards. I looked at his swing. He cannot hit a ball 30 yards. He said he was a 6 handicap... he's not a hundred.”

On a new episode of Rolling Stone's My Life in 10 Songs, Matthew Matthew McConaughey explained how he learned to use music for acting. “With [filmmaker] Richard Linklater on ‘Dazed and Confused,’ Rick’s first direction for everybody was he gave them a cassette and goes, ‘Hey, here’s what I think your character is listening to.’ I was like, ‘How badass is that?’”

Jon Rahm on joining LIV Golf: “I believe in the growth of the game of golf. I’ve largely spoken about how Seve improved the game of golf in Spain and I’ve always said how I would like to do the same thing over there. And if I can reach a bigger audience it would be amazing and I do believe this process will help me do that.” 🇪🇸
