The Speaker of the House of Representatives, the leader of one half of the Legislative branch, told the President to bypass legislation and use executive orders to solve the border. Is there a bigger copout of one's job than that? That is a full admission that the Speaker knows his House will accomplish nothing, that he can't lead them, and so the President needs to solve all of America's problems on his own. In what other job would this ever be acceptable? Fresh off of last year being the least productive House of Representatives since the Great Depression, the Speaker is committed to continue their dysfunction for a second non-productive year. Republicans continue to show month after month that they are fully incapable of governing.
