Today, I visited CPUT, District Six campus to address accommodation issues. A task team has been set up, and all affected students will be housed in safe, temporary accommodation. Cput has been given a week to resolve issues.

@Camagwini_G @CPUT Thank you Minister. We hope there will be a long term solution for the student accommodation crisis which includes expropriating the abandoned, hijacked buildings & converting them to world class student accommodation.

@CPUT Visiting places is not RESSOLVING problmes. You could have done the actual problem solving without any visit. Pulling resources together and delivering on your mandate requires no visits. Kids need accommodation not cameras

#Update 🚨 JPS reports that all affected customers have been restored. I am asking persons who may have isolated issues to contact me or Ministry of Energy, Telecomms & Transport with details. Meeting now set for 2pm. Given that restoration has been completed according to the utility provider, the next update will be given at the Media Briefing. Thanks for the usual cooperative and understanding. Get some rest. thanks👏🏼
