Today, I'm introducing the first-ever Data Center Bill of Rights. Communities deserve the right to reject data centers, protect their water, keep electricity bills down, and prevent states from shoving data centers down their throats.

That means: Data center companies, not Michigan families, pay for their own energy and grid upgrades – so rates don't go up. Data centers can't harm our water, air, or environment. Data centers pay their fair share in taxes to fund our schools, roads, and communities. Data centers are built with local union labor.

Secretary of Energy Chris Wright says data centers are “The biggest force we have right now to stop the rise of electricity prices and ultimately to drive them down” - American have been seeing increases of 27-42% on their electric bills - 267% electric bill increases have been reported right next to data centers in places like Baltimore and Northern Virginia Also I looked into how data centers can lower prices and really it comes down to them using so much power they build more energy sources So this doesn’t sound good…

Texas is going from 40 Data Centers to over 400 in the next 2 years - Texas could use 30% of US data center power demand by 2028 - By 2030 the Texas data centers could use 161 billion gallons of water per year - The 400 data centers will use the equivalent of 9 million homes in energy usage every year I don’t want to EVER hear the words climate change ever again
