Ruby Bridges was SIX years old. Six. And the President of the United States had to send federal marshals to escort a little Black girl into an elementary school because racist mobs were screaming they didn’t want integration. People waved Confederate flags. Adults screamed at a child. Parents pulled white kids out of school just because she walked through the door. That is not ancient history. That happened in America within a lifetime. Ruby Bridges said she didn’t even know what the word “integrate” meant. She was just trying to go to school.

NEW: The man who stabbed a 6-year-old to death and was released from prison early has been re-arrested in Florida near an elementary school. Ronald Exantus was convicted in 2015 after stabbing Logan Tipton so hard in the head with a butcher's knife that the knife bent. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office says they arrested Exantus near Sunrise Elementary School for failing to register as a felon, as required by Florida law. Exantus was discovered living in a home adjacent to the elementary school and blocks from another school. He failed to register as a felon within 48 hours. "I am proud of the quick response by my deputies and the inter-agency teamwork that helped locate and arrest this disgusting individual," said Sheriff Woods. "The fact that he was living right next to an elementary school is even more repulsive. I have no tolerance for this type of dangerous person flaunting our laws and thinking he would hide out in our county." He is being held with no bond. Florida doesn't mess around.

BREAKING: PRINCIPAL OF ENOCH BURKE’S SCHOOL ‘MOVES ON’ - GIVEN NEW JOB AT TOP STATE EDUCATION BODY On Tuesday this week an email was sent to parents at Wilson’s Hospital School notifying that Principal Frank Milling will be moving on from the school, and taking up a post with the NCCA (the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment), a state body that advises the Minister for Education. Three years ago, in May 2022, Enoch Burke was commanded by the then Principal Niamh McShane to use the "they" pronoun for a 3rd year student. Very shortly after making that demand, Principal McShane (who had commenced a Stage 4 disciplinary process against Enoch Burke) left the school to become a Principal in Bandon, County Cork. She was replaced as Principal by Mr Frank Milling. Mr Milling treated Enoch Burke very badly. For turning up to work, he was shouted at, mocked, and humiliated. All the while Mr Milling was persistent in his promotion of LGBT in the school. In 2023, when Enoch Burke lay in a prison cell, unjustly, Frank Milling was posing at the school with the transgender pride flag and posting it up on the school's social media. Frank Milling has now been given a job with the NCCA - the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment - the official state body that advises the Minister for Education (Helen McEntee) on what young people should be learning in school. Mr Milling’s appointment follows on from an alarming video sent to the school by the Fine Gael leader last year, at which point Enoch Burke had been languishing in prison for over 400 days, where Simon Harris specifically thanked Mr Milling in his role as School Principal. That this man will now decide what young people should be learning in school is something every parent should be concerned about.

American compares 2 schools in the same area, both for the exact same funding, both had the same amount of teachers, facilities everything. They were only 10-15 miles apart - Floyd Central High School was 91% White students - New Albany High School was majorly black and multicultural students (of very close to majority, at least 41%+ from what I could find) The white high school performed better in every metric - Test scores - Teachers preferred working at Floyd Central because of less fights, better environment - Floyd Central beat them at every metric, every sport except basketball So the majority (or nearly majority) black and minority school was at a slightly less economic advantage, but the white kids that went to that school still outperformed the minority students in test scores, while they to were also being in that ‘less economically advantaged’ group So the proven claim here is - 2 school gets the same funding and assets, the white school did better in every metric - White kids that are also economically disadvantaged still performed better on tests then black students in the same bad financial position

NEW: A Vermont substitute teacher has been cited after allegedly being so drugged out during class that she thought one of her students was her dog. 47-year-old Melissa Martin is accused of bringing cocaine onto Barre Town Middle & Elementary School campus. "The incident was reported to school staff after a student noticed Martin’s unusual behavior," a police spokesperson said. "Martin had admitted to school administration that she had cocaine in her jacket pocket, which was located in the classroom she had been teaching in."
