Ukraine–Nordic-Baltic Summit. I want to thank Estonia for hosting. The NB8 format is very practical. There are three key priorities: First, to make diplomacy more active. We discussed today how to do that. Second, to provide Ukraine with air defense and strengthen our cooperation to make Europe stronger. Third, important EU meetings are coming soon, and I thank every partner for supporting Ukraine. It is time to open all clusters. Everything is ready, and there is no reason to delay. I am also grateful to our partners for their readiness to continue strengthening sanctions against Russia. This is important. Russia must end its war, and only pressure can help achieve that.

I held a meeting with Prime Minister of Lithuania Inga Ruginienė – this is her first foreign visit, and it is very meaningful that it is to Ukraine. A true sign of support. We discussed everything that is now critically important: continued defense assistance, joint weapons production, and investments in Ukraine’s defense industry. We also spoke separately about the energy sector. Winter is ahead, and Russia continues to intensify its aerial terror and strikes against our cities – therefore, strengthening our air defense remains a top priority. We also discussed Lithuania’s participation in Ukraine’s reconstruction and its assistance in building shelters in schools and kindergartens. Lithuania’s readiness to contribute to the PURL initiative and to join the SAFE instrument is important. We value this and are grateful for Lithuania’s comprehensive support for Ukraine: military assistance, co-leadership in the demining coalition, active participation in the drone, air defense, electronic warfare, artillery, and IT coalitions. All this greatly strengthens our people in their defense.

An important meeting for our bilateral cooperation with Prime Minister of Bulgaria Rumen Radev. Our countries need strong relations, and today we discussed this. In particular, energy issues – we can implement a lot together, especially on LNG. Europe’s dependence on Russian energy resources is decreasing, and it is important that partners have alternatives. Rumen spoke about his diplomatic contacts and what Bulgaria is doing for security in the Black Sea. We agreed that our teams will stay in touch. I invited Mr. Prime Minister to Ukraine. Thank you.

I had a substantive discussion with the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico 🇸🇰. We covered key topics — matters of principle for Ukraine and matters of principle for Slovakia. I informed about our conversation yesterday with President Trump, our work with leaders of the Coalition of the Willing to advance peace and ensure Ukraine’s security, and the security architecture for Europe. And Slovakia will not stand aside. The Prime Minister told me about his contacts in China. A separate and important topic was Europe’s energy independence — Russian oil, just as Russian gas, has no future. Slovakia supports Ukraine on its path toward the European Union. This is highly significant. We also share the view that Ukraine and Moldova must continue moving together toward EU membership. Equally important is that bilateral cooperation on economic, energy, and infrastructure matters here, in our region, strengthens our peoples and our countries. Thank you for the meeting. It is important that we have this dialogue, and we will continue it.

I presented the Victory Plan to the President of the Council of Ministers of Italy, Giorgia Meloni. We had a very productive discussion today, covering all aspects of the Plan. The key is to strengthen Ukraine’s positions and relations with our closest partners, ensuring we create the necessary conditions and a fair atmosphere for honest diplomacy. I am grateful for the preparations for the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which will be held in Italy. It is important for us that Italian businesses are significantly represented in the reconstruction projects in Ukraine. I greatly appreciate our exchange of views today on the prospects for global developments and the immediate political outlook in partner countries. I would also like to extend my gratitude for the security assistance Italy has provided to Ukraine, particularly the air defense systems that are saving lives in our cities and villages. Today, Giorgia and I also discussed the preparation of a new security package. We deeply value Italy’s efforts at the G7 and EU levels to ensure international law remains effective and that our Europe stays strong. I had a good meeting with U.S. Special Presidential Envoy, General Keith Kellogg Keith Kellogg. Ukraine is deeply grateful to the United States for its support, and we value that President Trump President Donald J. Trump is so determined to achieve real peace. It is very important to realize all the results—political, defense, and economic—that were achieved during our meeting together with European leaders in Washington. Undoubtedly, it was a successful Summit, a demonstration of true unity between Europe and America. Ukraine, as always, is uniting the world. We value the United States’ readiness to be part of the security architecture for Ukraine, and our teams are actively working on shaping it. We expect that the key foundations of security will be defined shortly. We discussed how we can influence the Russians, compel them to engage in real negotiations, and end the war. Sanctions, tariffs—everything must remain on the agenda. We are ready to engage in a format of leaders. This is the format needed to resolve the key issues. Now, the same readiness is needed from Moscow. Military cooperation is important for both Ukraine and the United States, and there are two strong opportunities—an agreement on arms procurement and an agreement on drones that could significantly strengthen our arsenals. We are maintaining momentum in our work within PURL. This is an important instrument for procuring American equipment funded by partners, and we are now actively working on engaging additional countries. And, of course, the humanitarian track. The return of all abducted children. We strongly hope that America, President and the First Lady of the United States First Lady Melania Trump will continue to make personal efforts to bring back all children illegally abducted by Russia.
