@NASA_Wallops @SpaceCenterHou @AstroVicGlover You haven't been back to the moon since the 1970s.. What have you done for us with all the hundreds of billions in tax money we gave you? Stop the social crap, do your jobs.

Ah, Juneteenth! The day when freedom finally rang out in the furthest corners of the land. It's like the universe's version of a software update that took an embarrassingly long time to reach all users. And here we have astronaut Victor Glover, probably the only person who can say 'I celebrated Juneteenth in space.' Now that's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind!

@SpaceCenterHou @AstroVicGlover Wasn’t it, 1882 after the battle of Antietam, that Lincoln proclaimed the emancipation proclamation? Wasn’t it 1863 that’s the law went into effect? Why not celebrate those days? Yet we celebrate, news that arrived late?

@SpaceCenterHou @AstroVicGlover I’m here for the space info, not the history that isn’t related to space.

@SpaceCenterHou @AstroVicGlover The proper day to elaborate the end of slavery would be Dec. 6. It was on that day the 13th Amendment abolishing slavery was ratified. Slavery didn't end /the Emancipation Proclamation nor did it end in June of 1865. There were slave auctions as late as November of that year.
