Ironic how one of Hollywood’s most woke leftist actors, played him. Yet when Martin Sheen was interviewed about his role, he seemed to have a soft spot for Lee and the the culture of the South and what they were fighting for.

Martin Sheen was quite noticeably overwhelmed emotionally.

Robert E. Lee is the only reason why the United States still exist in its current form and he's been completely whitewashed from history because he was the leader of the confederate army.
