Has anyone had success setting their home driveway spot in your driveway or garage for navigation with FSD with the Holiday update? Ive tried to set my S to Park inside my garage a few times and it will not park inside garage. It keeps parking in front of garage either forward, or backing and parking in front of garage. For my Cybertruck I set it on the map to park in the third side spot in my drive way, but it will not pull over there, it pulls in front of the garage as well. Here are few videos. This is the first night since having the new holiday update, so I'll keep checking to see if it parks in correct spot, but so far it hasn't really made a difference. Has it worked for anyone else?

Good news! FSD v14.3.8 does not critically fail my parking garage from the quoted post! I tried 3 times. First 2 times it backed out with much room to spare. Third time I forced it into the spot, and it backed out in time. The situation is a little different because there was a car parked here (last time it was empty). It is around the same time of day as the quoted post. I will look for when this spot is empty and retry, but as of right now its looking good, Tesla AI 👍 All tests below: Test #1 (all FSD) ✅

The destination options in V14.1.3 are mind-blowing. I set the driveway as my park option, and even without marking a specific parking lane in my garage, it nailed a right turn and parked perfectly. On top of that, while V13.2.9 occasionally handled home garage parking after a left turn, this is the first time I’ve seen it ace a right turn into a parking spot. I’m honestly blown away. Trying FSD V14.1.2 in a parking garage for the first time (Mad Max mode on). I initially wondered why it drove all the way to the top level, but there was an access point into the main building from there, so it actually successfully navigated and chose the best level to be on.

I had one of those moments today that really showed me how much Tesla’s FSD has improved. We were heading to our next destination, and I turned on FSD in my Cybertruck. Instead of taking the obvious route out of the parking lot, it made a turn and drove straight into a parking garage. At that point, my significant other was yelling at me to disengage bc she didn’t want to waste time. Her argument was simple… FSD will probably get confused in a situation like this and we may end up going on an infinite loop FSD ride here. A parking garage is a pretty challenging environment if you think about it… multiple levels, ramps, tight turns, parked cars, limited visibility, and signs that can be easy to miss. But I told her I wanted to see what it would do. My thinking was that the latest version of FSD is much better at understanding their surroundings, reading signs, recognizing where they are, and making decisions based on what they see in real time. Sure enough, after realizing it wasn’t on the correct path, my Cybertruck kept moving, analyzed the situation, followed the garage layout, went all the way to the top floor, found the exit, and drove itself back out. Then it continued toward our destination without me touching the wheel. What impressed me wasn’t that it made a wrong turn… tbh human drivers do that all the time. What impressed me was that it recognized the situation, adapted, and successfully recovered on its own. Years ago, that probably would have been the end of the experiment bc it would go on an infinite loop, eventually resulting in a disengagement. Today, with FSD v14.3.4, it felt like watching the AI handle an unexpected problem and work its way through it. For me, that’s one of the biggest signs of progress in Tesla FSD, where it’s not 100% perfect, yet being able to make sense of a mistake, figuring out a solution, and moving forward.

The biggest change I noticed from FSD V14.2.2.5 and V14.3.2 is how slow it now backs out of my garage. Not a horrible speed but I liked the speed before better. I still use it every day. An extra few seconds and no damage is still worth it to me.

I got home from work around 5pm and as I pulled into the driveway I noticed the neighbors garage door was opened. She normally never left it open unless she was outside. She lived with her husband who suffered from COPD so I never saw him much. A few days went by and I noticed when I was leaving for errands that her garage door was still open. I was beginning to worry because I started watching the house at night and noticed the lights were never on no matter how dark it was outside or what time it was. I tried calling her son and he said he would check in on her but wouldn’t call her that night since it was late. I don’t think he ever came by because when I got home, again the garage door was still open, it’s connected to the house and anybody could just walk in if they wanted to. I decided to call the police, they came out to do a wellness check on her. They noticed the garage door opened and they walked in. The side door leading to the kitchen from the garage was still unlocked. They kept knocking to see if anybody answered and nobody answered. I called her son again and he spoke to them and told them he was concerned something bad happened and this wasn’t like her. Fearing the worst, they entered the home. They went through every inch of the home but did not find her even in the home. The son ended up filing a missing persons report. She ended up coming back a few days later, it turned out that she went to visit a friend but didn’t say anything to anybody and accidentally left the garage open when she was loading her luggage into the uber. I think it was better for us to be safe than sorry, this could have ended much differently.

This may be the longest reverse I have seen Tesla FSD do for me. I was dropping a passenger off at a "local motel", all the way in the back where there is a big fence separating the motel from an industrial junkyard and no easy way to get back out. Tesla FSD v14.2.2 did an amazingly long reverse, all the way through the front gate and then turn around to get on our way to the next passenger. Every day there seems to be something new from Tesla FSD that I see while doing Uber in Houston that just amazes me.

This is huge and exactly what is needed for FSD. Elon Musk says future FSD software releases will remember your parking preferences when arriving at a destination. The only time I need to disengage FSD is when reversing into my garage to charge. Hopefully now it’ll remember where and how I want to park. This could also help people with dedicated parking spots at work, etc. I can’t wait to try it out, I know a lot of people were waiting for something like this.

Forget UPL, it's the Devin's simple right hand turn that FSD needs to master first. I am blown away that software as good as FSD can make mistakes as simple but devastating as this. This is the second time in less than two weeks that FSD has tried to pull infront of a vehicle on a VERY SIMPLE right hand turn. The car drove pretty much flawlessly all day today (3~ hours of driving) but it ends the day with a move like this and it just takes all the confidence I have with FSD away in a simple move. I understand that the version of FSD we have today is not what will be used in Austin in June, but the fact that FSD is making decisions like this and 'full autonomy' is less than 3 months away - it's a bit concerning to me. I would feel a bit better if a near flawless version of FSD existed 'in the wild' for several months before Austin happens, but that's just me. Tesla Model 3 HW4 FSD 13.2.8 Tesla AI Ashok Elluswamy

FSD V14.2.2.4 Cutting Through a Gas Station Parking Lot? I don't think I've ever seen FSD drive like this before, but on my drive this morning it happened twice in a row. Rather than proceed to the stop light, it cut into a gas station and drove through the parking lot, then did the same at the next intersection. Afterward, it pulled into a parking lot with "Do Not Enter" signs at the entrance and parked in a stall. The real issue is that I was navigating to a Tesla Supercharger nowhere near that parking lot.

This doesn't feel right. 2024 Model 3 Performance with 7300 miles. Garage kept in SE Michigan. I drive it all the time. It sat for 2 days in my garage and I came out to this. Anyone want to tell me this is normal? Rotors were locked and grinded all the way down the driveway 😬

The most unbelievable thing just happened in my Tesla Robotaxi. There’s this dead end, which imo is the deadest dead end, where no Tesla has EVER been able to get out on FSD, without manual help. I ordered the Robotaxi from there just to test it, but this time there was a garbage truck in the way… and what happened next blew my mind. • Attempt #1: It backed up, paused, seemed unsure, then gave up and pulled forward again right back into the dead end. • Attempt #2: This time, it backed up, tried turning the wheel left to find an angle out, but again, couldn’t quite figure it out and went back to the dead end. • Attempt #3: Here’s where it got wild. As it backed up, a garbage truck suddenly pulled up, blocking part of the road. The Robotaxi slowed down, waited, observed the truck backing up for it, and learned from it. It then adjusted its trajectory, turned the wheel left, reversed, and then found its way out! What mind boggles me is that the AI learned in real-time. It seems like it took cues from its environment, analyzed the movement of the garbage truck, and then used that info to solve a problem that it failed twice before. This was real-world AI learning and adapting happening live! Absolutely mind-blowing.

FSD V14.1.7 | Near Accident This is without a doubt the closest I have come to getting into an accident in a long time. I think had I not taken over and slammed on the brakes we would not have slowed down in time. You can see that FSD does an incredible job reacting to the car (even before I noticed it) and was slowing down, but it was not slowing down enough to stop in time. As soon as I saw the car swerving to the right I worried she was going to bounce back into my lane so that is when I decided to go full on the brakes to stop the car. You can see prior to me taking over we were full regen braking (which is FSD reacting well) but it wasn't using any real brakes at all, and ABS was not active until I took over. Let me know what you all think in the comments. I still think FSD is incredible - the reality is if you watch the video the car saw and reacted to the situation before I did, it just didn't brake as agressively as it needed to in this situation. FSD + an attentive driver is without a doubt in my mind still safer than a normal human driver who is not using FSD.

People are so hung-up on FSD Unsupervised that they're ignorning the fact that we have self-driving cars today. Tesla FSD is not perfect - but it is incredibly good, and when you put it up against every other ADAS here in North America it is undeniably how far ahead Tesla is at the moment. I think it's fair to talk about the issues that exist today with FSD - but I also think there are some people who cannot take the time to appreciate what FSD is actually capable of... When I got my car two years ago I had no idea that the technology existed for a car to be able to stop itself at a stop sign - that is how unaware the general public is of FSD.

Grok Integration in the new Tesla Summer Update is scary good. But I can’t help to think about future updates that will allow you to interact with Full Self-Driving with just your voice. Elon Musk says the ability to do so is coming soon.
