Btw I don’t know of any randomized trials on masks done on the individual level in which one individual is randomized to the mask group and wears them and another individual is assigned to the “no mask” group and dose not wear them. That study would be remarkably useful in evaluating the effects on masks on an individual. Unfortunately I know of no such study that has been done, and in fact it would be ver difficult (infeasible?) to conduct especially since you’d need an extremely high level of compliance, which would be difficult to get people who believe in masks to not ever wear them in a pandemic, and eve more difficult to get people who don’t believe in masks to wear them all the time (or even to enroll in such a study). The randomized studies that have been done …
