Today, PA Senator Senator Amanda Cappelletti held a press conference about SB 926, a bill which requires libraries to adopt the American Library Association’s (ALA) Library Bill of Rights or be denied state funding. The ALA President, Emily Drabinski, is a self-proclaimed Marxist.

In July, the Montana State Library Association voted 5-1 to leave the ALA. “Our oath of office and resulting duty to the Constitution forbids association with an organization led by a Marxist.”

From a July Memorandum: “…my legislation will require Pennsylvania’s State Librarian and our local libraries to: 1) adopt the American Library Association's Library Bill of Rights…” “…Libraries that do not comply will be denied state funding.”

@SenCappelletti PA and IL are trying to beat each other out for the most woke state. Local communities best appeal to their libraries and trustees now: denounce the @ALALibrary and use rely on local budget only for libraries if this passes.
