It has been now confirmed that Greg Biffle has died in a plane crash along with his family earlier today. I only met him briefly as we were getting coffee at an airfield that was set up for Hurricane Helene relief operations about a year ago now. He was out there helping those in need, in person, with his own aircraft. We spoke about what we had been seeing on the ground during relief operations and went our own way. He was completely down to earth and if you didn't know who he was would have just assumed he was like all the other volunteers that were there that day and not a famous wealthy man which says a lot about who he really was. We lost a great American today. RIP to Greg and his family 🇺🇸 #GregBiffle

Gene Hackman on the moment his father left, and what it gave him as an actor: In an interview reflecting on his early life, Gene Hackman was asked about a theme that runs through the lives of so many artists: the departure of a parent. "Well, my dad left us when I was about 13, I guess." The interviewer asked if it was easy or hard. Hackman's answer was blunt: "No, it was tough." Then came the detail that has stayed with him for a lifetime. His father did not sit him down. There was no farewell speech. Hackman was outside with his friends when it happened. I am so saddened to learn about the passing of our dearest legend Asrani ji. A man who was a genius of his craft & an artistic treasure. Although people will always remember him for his incredible comedy but he was a man of all seasons & styles. His dramatic roles were equally brilliant. But alas, his “Angraizon Ke Zamaanay Ke Jailor” from the Epic ‘Sholay’ will be remembered forever! I had the honour of working & spending time with him when I requested him to appear in my music video of ‘Lift Karade’ & I too wanted him to reenact his legendary ’Jailor’ character for which he generously agreed. He was so committed that he made sure that every aspect of his getup was from the original makers of the Sholay Movie- i.e The Wig, Moustache & Uniform. His enthusiasm and passion for his work was an example for us all to learn from. He was a thorough gentleman. He was full of love & grace. Thank you God for blessing us with the Genius of Asrani ji. Thank you Asrani ji for giving us so many memories! The world of comedy & indeed cinema is richer because of your priceless contribution.. God bless your soul & may you rest in peace… 🙏🖤 . #Asrani

Philip Seymour Hoffman was 25 years old & working in a Deli when he was cast in "Scent of a Woman" (1992). He auditioned for the role 5 times before he was selected. After watching him perform for the first time, Martin Brest said, "“Philip Seymour Hoffman was so unbelievable that I immediately said, 'Oh my God, I’ve just discovered the next great actor.’ He just came from another planet.” There was one take from Hoffman which was so passionately delivered that it stunned the cast and crew into silence—unfortunately, it didn’t quite fit the tone of his character, and was left on the cutting room floor. This was never someone participating in his own recovery — he was hunting for ways to exploit, deceive, and destroy anything that crossed his path. And he’ll keep doing it until the day he dies. It’s the only thing he knows how to do. Only now he’ll do it from a cell, burning through whatever’s left of his parents’ estate while Alan Jack$on bills by the hour to spin a lifetime of calculated destruction as something poor Nick just couldn’t help.

Yes on the videos we have so far. The initial encounter was him filming them. There was no gun being brandished. They jumped out of vehicles to go to try to intimidate him. Unfortunately there's no video yet between then and when they had them on the ground. When they had him on the ground they were pistol whipping him, at first it looked like a baton, but it's actually a gun. They had him down with at least five officers. You got to wait for a second so he tried to stand up they shot him in the back he was motionless after they shot him in the back. Then there were four more shots or more after that unloaded into his body from a posture of standing above him. Not a defensive posture. He's supposedly has a gun. It looks like ICE took something out of a holster. So it's likely that he did have a HOLSTERED GUN in an open carry state that is not a reason to shoot someone to death. He was not brandishing it -- again it was his camera. That was the reason for the initial approach was to intimidate him about his camera. It is perfectly legal to film ice This is out not murder once again. Now there is some sort of speculation on social that a gun was dropped and a bullet went off. That would be the ICE AGENTS who took the gun out of his holster. I'll post some videos for people to see in the order that they happened.

Slava took the mezuzah down from his barber shop after October 7th, fearing he would be a target. What happened? He was viciously attacked anyway, by an antisemitic man who stabbed him in the hand repeatedly with his own scissors, saying he was going to kill him. @drirasavetsky has helped Slava through his physical recovery, but today we focused on his spiritual recovery, with a very special ceremony, hanging an @apeloigcollection mezuzah we gave him, back up on his doorpost. Slava is still not able to work because of his injury. The perpetrator is in jail and the crime is being prosecuted as a hate crime. Slava was adamant the mezuzah be back in place even before he could return to work. Today he wrapped tefilin, heard the shofar, and hung the mezuzah. Slava is an inspiration to all of us with his bravery for committing to never again hide who he is. Am Yisroel Chai!

Mike Harris resigned when PC Party support fell to 34%. Because that was considered untenable for a sitting premier: the public were still angry Bob Rae held on thru huge levels of unpopularity for 5 full years. Interestingly, Harris didn't make false claims about the polls. He accepted the public turned against him. So he did the honourable thing. It was his finest moment. Our current Premier, with an approval rating in the low 20s, is too small a man for that. #onpoli
