The officers were seen carrying gravel in a wheelbarrow and manually filling the potholes, in what appeared to be an effort to make the stretch of road motorable for drivers and pedestrians.

All non-commercial vehicles will no longer need a vehicle safety inspection prior to being registered in Texas. Pimpri RTO Acts Against Vehicle Owner After Viral Mumbai-Pune Expressway Video, Imposes Rs 4500 Fine Pune, September 9: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Regional Transport Office (RTO) has taken action against the owner of a vehicle after a video showing the vehicle on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway went viral on social media. Following the circulation of the video, RTO officials visited the vehicle owner's permanent address and conducted an inspection of the vehicle. According to the RTO, the vehicle bearing registration number had a clearly visible rear registration number at the toll plaza. However, while the vehicle was being driven on the expressway, a device installed on the vehicle was allegedly being used to deliberately conceal the rear registration number, apparently to avoid detection through the e-challan system. The RTO initiated proceedings against the vehicle under Sections 41, 52, 177, 182A and 179 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. A total fine of ₹4,500 was recovered from the vehicle owner. The device used to conceal the registration number was also removed from the vehicle in the presence of officials from Flying Squad No. 5 of the Pimpri-Chinchwad RTO. The action was carried out by Motor Vehicle Inspector Vishal Thorat and Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector Srinivas Shinde. The RTO said the action followed the viral social media video and the subsequent inspection of the vehicle.

Police have confirmed that a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) that went viral recently for using a siren and flashing blue lights to avoid traffic jams on the Maju Expressway (MEX) was being used for official duties by a ministry. Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) chief ACP Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa said the use of beacon lights on the vehicle had been approved by the Director-General of the Road Transport Department (JPJ). “The police have identified the owner and vehicle involved and will call them in soon for inspection purposes,” he said in a statement today.
