Dorcas Affo-Toffey, were taken through one of the Traffitech-GH operational vehicles that will be used for the system's enforcement operations by the Ghana Police Service during their working visit to the National Road Safety Authority.

The Teok-Sivasagar Highway is an important road in the Jorhat region, critical for boosting connectivity. Work for several portions of the road has been ‘ongoing’ for the past several years. The condition of the road is deplorable. From frequent accidents to long traffic jams, this portion is affected with several issues. Several contractors have been brought in and left the job mid-way. Multiple tenders of work have been issued, to no effect. People are facing severe inconvenience. I urge Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari to intervene and take immediate action. Shri Gadkari has visited Jorhat in the recent past. I’m optimistic that he will take the necessary steps to ensure work is completed at the earliest and people don’t have to suffer indiscriminately.

During yesterday’s heavy traffic congestion along the N1 Highway, a group of motor riders stepped in to call out the indiscipline of several drivers who had turned around and begun driving against the flow of oncoming traffic. The group called on the Ghana Highway Authority and other relevant agencies to take immediate action against the drivers over their disregard for road safety laws and regulations.

The road construction on Princess Park Street has been progressing quite well and we grateful for the continued support and patience of the community and road users. The final road layer is in progress and it is anticipated that the surfacing be completed by Friday 12 December 2025. The safety of the road users is the core priority and it is for this reason that the Roads and Transport will implement pre-markings and install temporary stop signs for the entire festive season as the road will be open for traffic soon. As the MMC for Roads and Transport I have visited the site on regular basis since the commencement of construction ,to ensure that the set milestones and commitments to the residents of Tshwane are fulfilled.

I used the unique occasion to call on the minister for roads and highways to look at the Kojokrom bridge in my constituency to create a footpath to help prevent major accidents from happening on the major road. #WomanAtWork #TheNewEssikadoKetan

In Uganda, the right of way is legally defined under Section 123 of the Traffic and Road Safety Act (1998) and the Highway Code, prioritising emergency vehicles and top state officials. According to guidelines from the Ministry of Works and Transport and the Uganda Police Force, the right of way should be given in the following order; 1. Authorized Emergency Vehicles (Active Duty) Ambulances (with patients/active emergency),FireBrigade trucks,Police Vehicles responding to emergencies,Military Vehicles. Note: These must be actively signalling (sirens/lights) to demand right of way. 2. High-Ranking State Officials (Convoys) The President,The Vice President,The Prime Minister,Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Parliament,Chief Justice and Deputy Chief Justice and Visiting Heads of State. But this ambulance was allegedly stop with patient ofcos because CIC was passing and am sure our president doesn't know that such emergency vehicles are stop because of him.
