However, the world has all of the resources to assist us in intercepting every missile and drone fired by Russian terrorists. This is completely doable. All that is required is for the necessary political decisions and agreements to be implemented. The liquidation of the aftermath of the Russian ballistic missile attack on Kryvyi Rih continues all day. There was also a devastating airstrike on Kupiansk, where a guided bomb hit the city center, leaving people trapped under rubble. Tragically, there are casualties. My deepest condolences to the families and loved ones affected. It is important that all our partners respond more actively to Russian terror. This terror must never become a so-called “new normal” for Europe. This week of February alone, they launched about 1,300 attack drones, more than 1,200 guided aerial bombs, and 50 missiles against Ukraine – almost all of them ballistic. Today, the Odesa, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Sumy regions came under enemy attack. As before, the main target of these attacks is the energy sector. After the talks in Jeddah and the American proposal for a ceasefire on the frontline, Russia stole almost another week – a week of war that only Russia wants. We will do everything to further intensify diplomacy. We will do everything to make diplomacy effective. But every day now is about defending our independence, our state, and our people. We must remember – it is the support of our army, all our defense and security forces, and our state that determines everything. We are continuing to work with our American partners at all levels to ensure that the Ukraine aid package is passed by the US Senate on time. Both the President’s Office and our diplomats are actively working to ensure a positive political outcome of the swift approval, as well as a positive outcome of the package itself, which should include the items that our warriors on the front lines expect so much. The time between political decisions and actual damage to the enemy on the front lines, between the package's approval and our warriors' strengthening, must be as short as possible. This strength must be the one capable of truly changing the situation on the frontlines. Frontline air defense is just as important as protection for our cities and villages. Our long-range capabilities, artillery, and ability to expand our area of control are all important. Every day is important now, in terms of communication, politics, and logistics. And I am grateful to all of our friends in the United States, as well as our partners around the world, who see common opportunities and tasks in the same way that we do in Ukraine. Together, we must stop Russian terror by all means, limit Russia's terror potential, and force Putin to admit the obvious: this war will yield no results for him.

Russian air strikes this morning were heinous, with the deliberate goal of causing structural damage to society’s life rather than military damage to our ability to defend ourselves. This is terror, by definition, without any disguises. The strikes harmed over thirty people across the country. As of now, five people have been reported killed. My condolences to their close ones. A significant part of our energy system is damaged. Air defense is the top priority right now. Our people here in Ukraine are responsible for the physical protection of facilities and their recovery following strikes. However, true and comprehensive protection from Russian missiles and "Shahed" drones is only possible with sufficient political will on the part of our partners. We work on it every day. Every day, we persuade partners of the importance and, more importantly, the feasibility of full protection of Ukrainian skies. Russian terror is only possible because we do not have enough modern air defense systems. Frankly, because our partners lack the political will to provide them. They all know exactly what is required and who can make life-saving decisions.
