We asked Tom Cruise, whose seemingly good at everything, what he's actually bad at and he gave us a super thoughtful answer.

In creating the bike chase in MISSION IMPOSSIBLE - ROGUE NATION, stunt coordinator Gregg Smrz and Tom Cruise decided every stunt had to be physically possible - no CGI. As such, Cruise and the stunt riders performed the chase at speeds up to 100mph.

Tom Cruise actually performed this entire mountain-climbing sequence himself — no stunt double involved. The scene was filmed at Dead Horse Point in Utah, where the team spent weeks mapping out every move and camera angle. Cruise trained in free climbing for months to make it feel authentic, and director John Woo said he was determined to do it all for real. At one point, he even injured his shoulder during a jump and still went back to finish the scene. No green screen, no CGI — just raw effort, precision, and one of the most memorable openings ever shot.

When bullets start flying and the odds hit zero, Tom Cruise doesn’t run from the danger, he runs through it. Blink and you’ll miss greatness. 🎬🔥

young tom cruise just finished top gun and the first question is whether he is actually going to enlist Jimmy Carter: Okay, well Tom, have you thought about enlisting in the military in the last few days? Tom Cruise: No, no, I haven’t. Tom Cruise: landing on a carrier is frightening to say the least the movie was so convincing they started treating him like a real recruit.

The GOAT is back in the cockpit. ✈️🔥 Watching Tom Cruise push the limits in Top Gun: Maverick still hits different. No CGI, just pure G-force and a masterclass in cinema. This is how you do a sequel!

Tom Cruise surprised Emily Blunt in “Edge of Tomorrow” Cruise wanted less CGI for suits. Emily however broke down struggling into an 85-pound “tactile” action suit. She didn’t know how she’d make it… Cruise told her: “Come on, stop being such a p*ssy!”
