Edge of Tomorrow is the definition of “rewatchable”. I don’t know where this ranks within Tom Cruise’s filmography, but it’s definitely one of the more original films Cruise has ever made. Cruise’s chemistry with Emily Blunt is also incredibly special. I love this movie.

Easily one of my most anticipated films of 2026, if not the decade thus far, because this is the first non-IP, non-franchise film from Cruise in years. Born on the Fourth of July nearly won Tom Cruise an Oscar for Best Actor back in 1990, but Cruise ran into the force of nature that is Daniel Day-Lewis, who won for My Left Foot. This is a painful story about the sacrifices veterans make & it’s some of Cruise’s best acting. I think the Cruise-Oliver Stone pairing is interesting in hindsight. 26 years later, Cruise might finally get that Oscar for Digger.

Valkyrie isn’t one of Tom Cruise’s best films but I enjoy revisiting this from time-to-time because the story is interesting, Cruise is good, and the entire ensemble is made of quality actors. Some would call this a “dad film” but I just think it’s decent moviemaking.
