Matt Damon reflects on ‘THE ODYSSEY’ being his third film collaboration with Christopher Nolan. “I think [our dynamic] was collaborative from the second I started working with him. He really gives actors a lot of freedom and he’s just an extraordinary director.”

Matt Damon completely misread a moment with Tom Holland on The Odyssey’s set, what he thought was a touching father-son moment. Matt: “I saw him, and he was putting his hand on his heart, so I started to do it too.” Matt: “I thought he was saluting me, like it was a father-son moment.” Matt: “I was like, ‘was that Chris telling you to do that, hand on your heart?’ And he goes, ‘my costume was choking me.’”

Matt Damon asked Christopher Nolan how he’d film the Trojan Horse scene in “The Odyssey.” His reply: “No idea. We’re just gonna get in there and figure it out.” Christopher Nolan: “I remember, Matt, you asking me at some point…” “How are we gonna do the inside of the horse?” Matt:“One of my favorite moments.” Chris:“Well, you tell it.” Matt Damon: “I said, ‘Tuesday, we’re doing the horse.’” “I said, ‘How are you gonna shoot that?’” “He goes, ‘No idea.’” “I go, ‘What?’” “He goes, ‘Yeah, no, we’re just gonna get in there and figure it out.’” “It’s the thing I love about working with him.” “It is like shooting an independent film.”

Tom Holland thought Christopher Nolan kept stopping a scene in The Odyssey because he didn't like their performance. Interviewer: “What was your most daunting moment while making The Odyssey?” Tom Holland: “My first day was probably one of the most daunting experiences of my career.” “Just being part of a movie of this scale… and that scene was one of the most important in my character’s arc.” “It was a very emotional scene. John Boyega was with me, and it was his first day too.” “We finished the day, and it wasn’t until I left that I thought, ‘Oh… I can totally do this. I can swim in these waters.’” “Working with the IMAX camera for the first time is an experience.” “I didn’t know it only ran for three minutes.” “I remember Christopher Nolan kept cutting, and I was with John like, “Why does he keep cutting?”” “In my head I’m thinking, “Does he not like what we’re doing? What is happening?”” Interviewer: “You’re the third person I’ve spoken to this week who’s said that.” Tom Holland: “Then George Cottle told me, “No, no, no… there’s only three minutes in the mag.”” “I was like… “Oh, thank God.”” Interviewer: “That’s a very common refrain. John said that. Lupita said that.” “But you’re incredible in that scene.” Tom Holland: “Thank you very much.”

Gary Oldman's "EVERYONE!!" scream in Léon: The Professional is so iconic people yell it at him in the street. Turns out it started as a joke between him and Luc Besson. He explains: “What's strange is that it's become this sort of iconic line, and it was all done as a joke. And that was the thing, I played the scene…. And I had a relationship with Luc. Luc Besson was kind of mad in a way — I mean, we were shooting on film. He would say to me, "OK, do the scene again, but now do it as Robert De Niro." Or do it as... And he would shoot it for kicks, and his archive. So we had a fun kind of relationship… I said to Luke, "I just want to do one more, let me do one more." And I went to the sound guy and I said, "I'm going to be really loud, so be careful." And said “bring me everyone" — you know, EVERYONE like that. I just did it as a joke to make Luc laugh. I was a little shocked when I saw it in the film, yeah. It was just me fooling around — with intensity, with feeling — and yet it's become this line now.”

Christopher Nolan admits he almost never made The Odyssey until reading one heartbreaking scene about a dog from the original 3,000-year-old ancient Greek text completely broke him. "I spent a lot of time before I would write just familiarizing myself with the Odyssey... trying to remind myself what I remembered it to be." "You get to the bit with Argus... his loyal hunting dog." "As a new dog owner... I did not grow up with dogs." "Finally got a dog... and yeah, changes your life." "I got to the bit with Argus... and it just killed me." "I think it was honestly a major reason that I knew I had to make the film."

Zendaya reveals how she freaked out when Tom Holland told her about starring in The Odyssey. "He had the script, and I may have taken a little peek. I had to know. He had a Christopher Nolan script in my house, what am I gonna do? So I looked" "Then he went off to his meeting, and when he came home, I was like, 'Okay! Tell me all about it! How was it? What was it like?' You know what I mean? I was so ready, so excited" "And he goes, 'Read this again.' And I was like, 'What? Why? We just read it last night.' He was like, 'Read it again, but with Athena in mind.' And I was like, 'Yo, stop it right there'" "I freaked out. I was so grateful. Arnold Schwarzenegger allegedly “farted” on Miriam Margolyes’ face in this End of Days (1999) scene “He was rude. He farted in my face.” “I was playing devil’s sister, so he had me in a position where I couldn’t escape and lying on the floor. And he just farted.” “It wasn’t on film, it was in one of the pauses, but I haven’t forgiven him for it.” “He deliberately did it. He’s a bit too full of himself. He’s a Republican, which I don’t like.”

Travis Scott reveals Christopher Nolan personally called him to star in The Odyssey “My phone went off and it just said, ‘Chris.’ I'm thinking, okay, I don't know what this is about. Maybe he wants to go to a show” “I pick up and he's like, ‘Would you be interested in acting in a movie?’ I'm like I mean I guess... I didn't even think it was for him” “He's like, ‘Well, I'm working on this movie. I haven't really told people about it yet and I want you to be in it” “I'm like whoa, wait you know I make music?” “He gave me his whole thesis on why. He's a real mentor of mine, so I was like whatever you're down with, I'm down” “I showed up thinking it was just going to be me and maybe some extras. I didn't know it was going to be Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson and all these amazing people”

Adult creator Sky Bri reveals the worst scene violation she ever experienced on Bradley Martyn's Raw Talk: "What was the only truly bad scene experience you've ever had?" "I was filming a scene with a guy, and he put it up my a without asking beforehand. I had never done anal in my entire life, so that was not agreed to at all." "Wait, so he just did it out of nowhere?!" "We were in a spooning position, and he slipped it out of my vagina and shoved it right into my a while whispering in my ear: 'Oh, you like that?' I was so in shock on camera that I just froze, but I was in physical pain for days afterward." "Did you tell him to cut it out?" "Right after, I texted him: 'I've never done anal before, I was not comfortable with that, please cut that section out of the video.' He agreed and said: 'Yeah, totally, we can cut it out.'" "Did he actually cut it?" "Months later, I go online and the video is posted on the Hub, and the thumbnail of the entire video is his d*** in my a!"

Amy Adams reflects on "Arrival" and "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" a decade later: "With 'Arrival,' it was just the experience of working with Denis [Villeneuve] and being on that set. It was just absolutely transformative for me. The way he works, and the respect he shows every crafts person, that's something I take [with me]." "And then, from 'Batman v Superman,' that was so much fun. It's a totally different thing. I remember just, like, always running in high heels. But mostly what I take with it is just the fun of working with Henry [Cavill], Ben [Affleck] and Zack [Snyder]."

Matt Damon says he has made three movies with Christopher Nolan and has never once been told a take was perfect. He admits the director gave the rare compliment to Zendaya instead. Matt Damon: Zendaya came and did something and Chris the camera cut and there was this long pause and Chris said, Perfect. That's next level. And I've done three movies with him and never heard that. So that was an experience. Host: Hey, you'll get there one day. Keep working. Matt Damon: I'm trying. Anne Hathaway: I'm not going to say what I'm about to say. Cuz I've also made three films with him, and I have gotten one perfect. Matt Damon: You have? Anne Hathaway: I got one once. It felt really good. It was amazing, I cried and wrote it in my journal. I actually did go home and write in my journal every day on this one just because the experience of it, there was so much happening and I didn't want it to like turn into a blur.

Tom Holland opens up about struggling to cry both on set and in his personal life till Benedict Cumberbatch taught him a game changing crying technique “I went through a phase where I was really, really struggling to cry, in my personal life also. And it was really affecting me on set because I would really just worry about crying scenes, and worry and worry and worry. And, I would worry so much that I would almost like worry myself out of tears. I was lucky to be working with him on a film called, uh, The Current War. And I remember asking him like, "How did you do that? Did you draw from your own personal emotion or was it from, you know, is there a technique that you do?" And truth be told, it's a combination of both. But the technique that he told me was this kind of thing that he's able to do with his diaphragm, which is almost like laughing. But he just would, do this thing where he would kind of simulate laughing and he would breathe really, really quickly, and that would sort of, I guess, bring the emotion to the surface and then he could just take it and ride the wave from there.“ Ft: Tom Holland

Richard Mann says the only time he felt nothing inside a girl on set was with Shane Diesel and Jack Napier in a three-on-one scene: "The only time that happened where I stuck my penis in a girl and it didn't feel like nothing was one time when I worked with Jack Napier and Shane Diesel." "You came behind them?" "Yeah, I came behind them. And both of those guys are dread, both of those guys are like dread before dread." "And that was just like, 'Oh... hmm.' It was like an ocean, huh? I mean, it was still enough for me like I could reach in there where the tight areas were because I'm long, but it just kind of went in... It just whoosh." "You went in right after? We shot together, so it was like a three-on-one. They was on some like senior 'let us go first' I hung, and the director was like, 'You being able to hang with those guys is gonna make you really big because you don't take it as intimidation.'"
