The laughs were then joined by boos by the audience. Antonioni & Monica Vitti (who was sobbing) fled the theater. He was so impressed with the film that he didn't want to change anything in the movie but he wanted it to be entirely shot again with Robert Mitchum and Jane Russell as the leads.
