Wow! I’ve never in my life seen this clip or knew they sparred.

Right ?!? I randomly stumbled upon it yesterday for the first time. This was just before the Berbick fight. Ali was already showing symptoms by this point.

This was just before the Berbick fight in ‘81. He was already showing signs of Parkinson’s by then 😞

Ali looks like the heavyweights today in this clip. Slow. No skill. Holds gloves up to face and side of head as a means of defense.

Was this an exhibition spar in the Bahamas to promote the event? Neither were cutting weight either, as Hearns was having his comeback bout after the Leonard classic Potentially nearly 6 stone/84lbs weight difference for this spar Sad footage of Ali, but still incredible 👍🏻🥊

It was part of a TV special to promote Ali’s last fight with Berbick
