In a disturbing escalation of political violence in West Bengal, the TMC launched a violent attack at the BJP District Party Office in Cooch Behar. The Assembly Elections are probably 11 months away but TMC have unleashed their attack dogs on the principal opposition party; BJP. This shows that they are losing ground and that's why they are resorting to violence so early. The Party Office is located in the Cooch Behar town and the incident unfolded in the presence of Mamata Police. TMC Goons along with Jihadists who are under the patronage of Mamata Police executed the attack. Several of our Karyakartas got injured badly. Recently, BJP MLA from Cooch Behar South Assembly Constituency; Shri Nikhil Ranjan Dey was attacked by TMC Goons while he was going towards Dinhata Court. Today's incident has reignited concerns over the deteriorating law-and-order situation in the district and all over the state as well. The attack is a deliberate attempt to intimidate BJP workers and a blueprint of the TMC's desperation to cling on to power through violence and thuggery. Especially after 2019, in the garb of Anti CAA & Anti Waqf Amendment Protests, they torched Railway Stations such as Samsi; Malda District, Dhuliyan, Samserganj and Rejinagar; Murshidabad district. They vandalised Trains & Tracks, blocked National Highways, causing immense inconvenience to the Commuters and Passengers. During their unabated rampage, they didn't care either about the properties acquired by the Taxpayer's Money or the safety, security and convenience of the Taxpayers. The recent so-called 'protests' in Beldanga; Murshidabad district was a déjà vu moment where once again obstructionism and vandalism took center stage with the Police acting as spectators. These Anti National elements are facilitated by the Ruling TMC Party and the West Bengal Government in the frontline while they are patronized by banned outfits such as SIMI & PFI from behind the scenes. To dilute the narrative and add legitimacy to their acts of violence, the National Flag is used by the vandals as props. Similarly, today at the Bardhaman Railway Junction, a violent mob led by TMC Leaders Nurul Alam (aka Saheb; Councilor) & INTTUC leader Iftikhar Ahamad (aka Papu) took over the Railway Station and disrupted services. All in the name of Anti SIR protest. Last night, at around 2 AM, Officers from Khatra and Bankura Police Stations descended upon the Bankura District BJP Party Office like thieves and dacoits, attempting to break the gate and barge in under the cover of darkness. This shameless display of so-called "power" was met with fierce resistance from our brave BJP Karyakartas and local Leaders, who stood firm against this cowardly act of intimidation. Is this what Mamata Police have been reduced to; sneaking around in the dead of night to harass opposition workers while turning a blind eye to the real criminals? Where is this bravado when it comes to taking action against TMC’s notorious 'lumpen' Anubrata Mondal? This is the same Police force that cowers when faced with TMC goons and their lawless antics. Just weeks ago, an audio clip surfaced of Mondal hurling vile abuses and threats at Bolpur’s Inspector-in-Charge, targeting his wife and mother with obscene remarks. Yet, what did the SPINELESS Police do? NOTHING. One can't forget the SURRENDER gesture made by the Mamata Police in Maheshtala a couple of days earlier waving white handkerchief towards the stone pelting Jihadists. Bloody Cowards. I am appalled, outraged, and deeply ashamed to witness the blatant disrespect shown to our Sacred Tricolor by Mamata Banerjee’s Police and her puppet Administration. In Bankura’s Junbedia, Ghora Mor, our brave Ex-Servicemen hoisted the national flag with pride on August 15, symbolizing the spirit of Bharat. But what did the TMC-led Bankura Administration do? Under direct orders from their TMC overlords, they pressured these heroes and, in a shameful act of cowardice, forcibly removed the Tricolor in the dead of night yesterday ! Is this what Mamata Banerjee’s regime has come to? A state where the national flag is forcibly lowered by the Police, while TMC’s party flags are placed in flood ravaged places like Mirik by the same Police to welcome Mamata Banerjee? This is not just an insult to our national flag, it is an attack on our nation’s pride, an act of treason that flows from the top of TMC’s leadership to the very roots of the State Administration. Today BJP West Bengal MLAs held a Dharna at Burtolla Police Station, condemning the abominable role of Kolkata Police in harassing Late Pankaj Dutta; a vocal critic of Mamata Banerjee Govt. The Retired IPS Officer, who retired as the Inspector General of West Bengal Police in 2011, was subjected to harassment at the behest of CP Kolkata Shri Manoj Kumar Verma (IPS), who was following the instructions of Mamata Banerjee. Late Pankaj Dutta; was renowned for detecting loopholes in various Police Investigations and was often critical towards Police atrocities. After the RG Kar incident, Shri Pankaj Dutta condemned the approach of Kolkata Police. After that, he was summoned by the Burtolla Police Station. He was kept waiting for the whole day and wasn't even offered a cup of tea or a glass of water. Afterwards his health deteriorated. I condemn this cannibalistic behavior of Mamata Police.
