Employers need to realize that “2 weeks notice” is a professional courtesy, but in no way a requirement, nor is it something they have any power of accepting/denying.

California has a microsite on wage theft. It's good.

👏Two weeks notice is a courtesy to your employer, not a legal requirement. 👏

I put in my 2 weeks and was harassed about it for 2 days after, so I walked out. They proceeded to call me for a week saying I was wrong for this and that it would affect future jobs. I got a job w/o putting them on my resume.

You can quit at anytime you want. You do not need to give a two week or even a 72 hour notice. However, if you quit without giving notice, the employer can take up to 72 hours to pay your final wages. If the employer fired you, he is required to pay you all wages immediately.

Can’t express how good it feels to get that 💵💰penalty cash when an employer refuses to send my final paycheck on time. In California it’s a your full daily wage up to 30 days you were paid late.

Can’t you just not show up to work? I’m assuming this is related to some sort of contract?
