Nice, but small correction. BHP stands for Brake Horsepower, it is powe that makes it to wheel after some loss in transmission. The one made at the crank is called HorsePower(HP) meaning HP > BHP and this is why car makers quote HP it is the higher number.

Very nice content but I believe BHP refers to the power of the car after accounting for the frictional losses in power from the engine. It can be thought of as net HP.
