Like many others, she struggled during teething. But she had fight in her, and we weren't going to give up. Greens also help, as they help bolster a calf’s biome and provide vital nutrients. Korbessa was once one of the tiny trunks. How times have changed. We rescued Korbessa from a well in Meru National Park in August 2023. KWS rangers found her at first light, alone at the bottom. She was so exhausted the vet teams gave her fluids, glucose, and water at the scene, and she slept on a mattress while teams tried to find her herd. When she arrived at our Kaluku Neonate Unit, she became a coveted baby of the herd. Two years on, Korbessa is now Kaluku's mini-matriarch – on the young side for the role, as the Keepers say, but she "unequivocally runs the show." Wamata used to be the spoilt baby. Now she is blossoming into a caring responsible girl. For months, she was the youngest in our Nairobi Nursery herd – the one the older girls fussed over. Then Kipekee and Daba arrived, smaller and newer, and her role shifted. She has grown into it beautifully, although she still makes sure she is the centre of attention somehow. Case in point: she has worked out if she lies on her side, the younger orphans will clamber on her belly and even her face. Perhaps she'll be a mini-matriach like Kerrio in the making? Either way, we look forward to seeing how her role in the herd continues to develop. Adopt Wamata:

This woman was going home when she saw a car traveling slowly in the lane in front of her. She decides to pass it and be on her way. When she was close to her home she suddenly became aware that the man she passed was following her. She tried to turn around in a parking lot to head to the police station by her house but due to construction she had to pull into a parking space to turn around. The man tried to block her in, gets out of his car and flashes his drivers license at her as if he was law enforcement. She was able to back out to the left and escape as he punches her window. This man should be charged for what he did but was he also attempting to impersonate an officer by flashing his badge?

While swimming in a river, a man found a tiny baby otter all alone. With no mother around, he took her home, fed her, and cared for her until she was strong enough to survive on her own. Eventually, he released her back into the wild. Months later, while he was out on the water, an otter suddenly climbed onto his boat carrying a crayfish. He couldn’t believe it — it was the same otter he had rescued. She wasn’t feeling well, so he took her to be checked and discovered she was pregnant. Not long after, she gave birth to a healthy baby. Later, he saw the mother and her little one swimming near the dock. The otter he once saved had returned with a family of her own. ❤️

This man was having a good laugh at his daughter’s expense. Today she found out how hard being a responsible adult can be. She got a $150 speeding ticket that she couldn’t afford. She was crying in the kitchen when her parents walked in. He commented how it would be cheaper for her to quit her job since he pays for her car and gas anyways. At the end of the day he ended up agreeing to pay for her ticket, but isn’t part of being an adult figuring out how to fix your own problems, is he enabling her by helping her?

This man has decided to attack this girl’s dog. She gets the whole thing on POV . She’s sitting peacefully with her dog on a bench in public, and this guy walks up, throws dirt at her dog, and then threatens to kill him with his gestures. He won’t leave her alone. He keeps telling her to leave. She stands her ground.. He then proceeds to touch the dog and that’s when she gives him a nice little fist in the throat and shoves him away. In my opinion, she showed a lot of patience.

NEW: Actress Catherine O'Hara, known for her role in Home Alone, has passed away at the age of 71, according to TMZ. O'Hara started her career in comedy and was born & raised in Toronto, Canada. The actress won an Emmy Award for her role in "Schitt's Creek" in 2020. She had two sons. Today is the birthday of Izuna, student who dreams of becoming the greatest ninja in Kivotos. Chasing the ninja dramas she loves, Izuna trains every day in the Ninjutsu Research Club. She can be a little clumsy at times, but her wish to protect Sensei is always sincere, and she follows Sensei like a loyal shadow on every mission. Just for today, I hope she can put her duties and training aside for a moment and enjoy a festival-like day, full of laughter and warmth at Sensei’s side. Nin nin! #BlueArchive

Ten years ago a one-tusked wild elephant turned up at Ithumba – she was so disruptive that the Keepers nicknamed her 'Crazy One'. She has come a long way since then! Over the years our orphans taught her that the Keepers could be trusted, and today she moves freely between the wild and our Ithumba Unit, even taking our ex-orphans under her wing. Last year, she brought a newborn of her own into the fold, mimicking the behaviour of our ex-orphans in choosing to introduce her precious calf to her extended human-elephant herd. Karen has called an UBER to take her to the church for her own wedding. (Does anyone actually do this?) Just as she gets in the car, she cancels the ride. The driver asks her why and she tells him she shouldn't have to pay for anything on her wedding day. He tells her he is making money for his family and kicks her out. She proceeds to yell at him and try to make him feel badly for doing his job. Do you think she has a point or is he right to refuse her service?
