#WATCH | Mumbai, Maharashtra: When asked about how 3:15 PM cutoffs and closing auction price spreads are disrupting his algorithmic hedging and intraday risk management, with Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) confirming Closing Auction Session (CAS) is permanent, Shrikant Chouhan, Head of Equity Research, Kotak Securities, says, "...If we go through with the CAS-related issues which are giving some kind of uneasiness for option traders... this time option traders, they are mainly affected. The reason is that between this time gap, the prices change a lot, and because of that, most of the time on the day of expiry, especially on the day of expiry, it actually impacts option traders, those who are like writers. Broadly, we are of the view that at present SEBI is holding a lot of meetings with brokers, traders, algo traders, and they are designing their framework... they are ready to make changes as per the difficulties which traders are facing... broadly, I am of the view that it may take some time, but in the next maybe 1-2 months, definitely something will come out concrete, and based on that, again, we can see normalisation in the market... till then, option traders, especially writers or those who are using algorithms, they are trying to stay away from the market because of which volatility has also come down sharply in the market. You can see the market is falling gradually, but at the same time, intraday volatility is very low. Even if we consider Volatility Index (VIX), India's VIX index, that is also close to 11 or maybe 11.5 sort of levels, which is the lowest... it means that option traders are not active in this market. That is why I am of the view that it will take some time to come to normalcy. But eventually, definitely, we will come out with something that will help traders, option traders, I mean to say, in terms of managing their risk. It's not that they can increase their volume and all because our government is primarily focusing on controlling this particular speculative activity... they are trying to control that, and maybe because of that, I think they will come out with something which is very balanced."

August: +20% September: +14% October: +14% November: +28% That means supply could rise quickly. And that may put pressure on $SPCX Here’s how I see the setup: Phase 1: Low supply drives the price higher. Done. Phase 2: Unlocks bring more sellers into the market Phase 3: Rising supply makes rallies harder Phase 4: Larger unlocks add more pressure Phase 5: One final selloff before the bottom The first drop may not be the worst part. The bigger risk comes when people start thinking the bottom is already in. More shares are still coming. Possible path: $140 → $120 → $90 → $70 That’s why I’m still not rushing to buy. It’s the speed and force behind price. Momentum is how fast a market moves, how cleanly it moves, and how much participation shows up behind it. Here’s how I spot it. Big candles. Expanding range. Directional closes. Volume stepping in. That combination usually tells you price is being accepted higher or lower, not just drifting there. What momentum is not: Small candles. Tight ranges. Sideways chop. That’s noise. There’s no edge there, especially if you trade options where time works against you. Now look at extremes. Silver $SLV moving from 15 to 107 didn’t creep higher. It expanded. Candles grew. Volume followed. Direction stayed intact. Same with SNDK. Each week made a new high. Each pullback stayed shallow. That’s momentum, and it often aligns with one-time framing. The rule is simple. Don’t fight strength. Don’t fade acceleration. Stay on the side that keeps getting paid. Momentum shows up intraday too. You see it when dips get bought immediately. When bids step higher. When sellers can’t push price down for more than a few seconds. That usually starts with a catalyst. Earnings. News. A theme or narrative pulling in capital. Without a trigger, a big candle rarely lasts. Which is why NVDA right now isn’t momentum. It’s in balance. A range. Trying to force trades inside that range is harder than waiting for expansion. So, just wait! Markets live in two states. Trend, where momentum pays. Balance, where patience pays. Once you learn to tell the difference, trading gets a lot easier. Watch the candles. Watch the volume. Watch the catalyst. The energy is always visible if you know where to look.

Today the Supreme Court heard oral arguments on a case that could completely change how the government collects on delinquent property taxes. In most cases, the government will take your home if you are late on property taxes, sell it at a cash auction, and only pay you the difference in the auction price and what you owed. But the fifth amendment says the government cannot take your property without “just compensation.” The plaintiff argued “just compensation” means the full market value, not the decreased cash auction price. Unfortunately, it seemed like the court only cared about the burden on the government and not about our constitutional rights. Today the Supreme Court heard oral arguments on a case that could completely change how the government collects on delinquent property taxes. In most cases, the government will take your home if you are late on property taxes, sell it at a cash auction, and only pay you the difference in the auction price and what you owed. But the fifth amendment says the government cannot take your property without “just compensation.” The plaintiff argued “just compensation” means the full market value, not the decreased cash auction price. Unfortunately, it seemed like the court only cared about the burden on the government and not about our constitutional rights.
