⚠️Storm Floris disruption to continue into Tuesday⚠️ Storm Floris continues to bring very strong and disruptive winds across Scotland, with an amber Met Office warning in place until 23:00 across Glasgow, Edinburgh, and all areas north of the Central Belt area. A further yellow warning is in place across all other areas of Scotland, until the end of today. The damage caused by the storm has been extensive, including trees falling onto overhead wires and tracks. This is the condition of a sleeper coach on a train in North India. What’s the point of having a reservation system if reserved passengers still have to travel like this ? No railway authority even seemed bothered to address the situation. The disruption began at approximately 8.00am when Rapid KL announced that trains were experiencing delays between the Asia Jaya and Taman Bahagia stations. According to the transit operator, a train had to be driven manually due to a system fault. This safety protocol required trains to move at a slower speed and make prolonged stops at platforms, immediately causing a bottleneck along the heavily utilised line. As station platforms quickly became congested, Rapid KL escalated its response. By 8.30 am, the operator activated alternative train services to bypass the affected stretch and keep passengers moving.

Dear Nigeria Railway Corporation (NIGERIAN RAILWAY CORPORATION), I must commend your professionalism and I have enjoyed your services using the train from Lagos to Ibadan and Abuja to Kaduna. Since I discovered the Lagos to Ibadan train, I have reduced my road trips from Lagos to Ibadan by 5%. On the few occasions when I opted to use the road, it was because there were no night journeys. I think if the Corporation can adopt night journey through the Lagos to Ibadan route, Nigerians can comfortably live in Ibadan and travel to Lagos daily to work. This will decongest the population in Lagos. However, this is not where I am going. You need to improve your services, passengers should be able to edit their tickets and change their travel schedules. A lot of times, my schedule will change after buying a train ticket. Unfortunately, the ticket can't be opened or rescheduled for another date or time. No refund policy, I agree with this, but ticket(s) booked should be open for amendment. You need to improve your backend and invest more in your IT to ensure that passengers enjoy the flexibility of your services. Passengers should be able to use their ticket(s) if their schedule changes possibly inserting a change period (timeframe). I'm an apostle of the train services and I implore people to experience it. Safe, comfortable, and fun.
