On 18 June 2026, at around 1 PM, I was on my way to the University of Zimbabwe bus stop to catch a kombi into town when I was approached by a young woman with braids wearing a pink jacket. She stopped me and said, “Sister, please wait.” She then claimed that I had dropped a pink wallet. I told her that I did not own any pink wallet. She then said that another woman had picked up the wallet and that she had found money inside it. She suggested that if the wallet was not mine, we could all share the money. The woman she referred to was wearing an orange skirt and was walking ahead of us. When she was called over, she stopped and pretended to confirm that the wallet did not belong to me. Before they could continue with their story, I switched on my phone camera and started recording. I confronted them and asked if they were not ashamed of trying to scam people in Mt Pleasant using the well-known “chadonha” trick. What I did not know was that they had a getaway vehicle nearby. The driver noticed that I was recording and signalled to them. The woman in the pink jacket then said something to the effect of, “Should we go back?” They immediately ran towards a vehicle and quickly got inside before driving away. After many requests, here is my full stock scanning and daily process to swing trade momentum breakouts. I've been swing trading momentum stocks and averaged 100%+ returns per year, with $1 - Avg $ volume past 20 days is 20MM min - 8 >20>50 EMAs - Close above 20 EMA - Close > previous day high - CML indicator GREEN I just inverted these for shorts, and the same for ETFs long and short. My universe is US stocks + American depositary receipts. Once I get my scanning going, all I do is identify stocks breaking out according to my rules. I manually go through the scan results (shown in the video), identify potential setups, bring them onto TradingView, and decide if I want to enter. If you want to know more about my setup and how I swing trade momentum breakouts long and short to play with this scanning process, make sure to read my latest explanation in the tweet below. Once I identify with a manual review a setup that meets my criteria, I load it into TWS, make sure my position sizing is in check to risk 1% per trade from entry to stop, and enter. After 4:00 pm EST, the markets are closed, and I enter my stops and my BE alarms. That's it. I close my computer and come back the next day, and repeat the process, every day, every week, every month, every year. If you are NOT doing the same thing over and over in your process, you are doing random stuff. As you see, scanning is NOT the answer to a profitable strategy. Scanning is a process that derives directly from your EDGE. Not the other way around. Once you know what your edge is with extreme detail, you know how to find the stocks you want. Remember. Tyrant cop arrests driver and his wife because the driver asked why he was being pulled over. ​This incident took place in Taylor, Michigan (a suburb. in the Downriver area of Metro Detroit). Taylor Police officers pulled over a vehicle driven by a man named Calvin Jones. Inside the car with him were his wife, Keithia Jones, and their young son. The officer pulled over Calvin and immediately demanded his ID as well as other paperwork needed for the stop. Calvin inquired as to why he was being pulled over to which the officer doubled down on demanding ID before telling him why he was pulled over. ​What began as a routine traffic stop instantly turned into a high-stakes standoff due to a fundamental disagreement over roadside procedures: ​The Driver’s Stance: Calvin Jones wanted to know the exact reason he was being pulled over before handed his identification over to the officers, asking, “You gotta let me know what’s going on, man.” ​The Officers' Stance: The officers demanded compliance first and answers second. Instead of de-escalating, the officer barked back, “You’re going to jail is what’s going on.” ​As other officers arrived the officer that conducted the stop began putting on tactical gloves. This is where things go off the rails as the officer completely shattered the driver-side window, forcefully dragged Calvin Jones out of the vehicle, and took him to the ground to execute an arrest. ​Meanwhile, inside the vehicle, his wife Keithia began recording the unfolding chaos on her cell phone. Because she was filming the interaction, she was also forcefully arrested by responding officers as well. I tested Claude Code on a fresh account - 1,500 lines of HTML cost me 50% of my window. Full video and summary is here.. I just ran a recorded test on Claude Code with a fresh account (Pro, not Max - my main account was 20x Max) , and the result is honestly insane. The task was trivial: create 3 simple demo HTML pages, around 500 lines each. Roughly 1,500 lines of code total. Nothing massive. Nothing enterprise-grade. Nothing that should meaningfully stress a premium coding product. And yet Claude Code burned through 40% of my 5-hour window almost immediately. I ran the exact same test with Codex, and it consumed only 2%. Then it got even worse: after the session ended, I did absolutely nothing for 15 minutes, and Claude still ate another 10%. Total: 50% of the 5-hour window gone for a tiny HTML demo. My weekly usage had already started at 2% before I even really used it, and after this tiny test it jumped to 8%. Now let us be generous and assume this entire run used around 30k tokens total. If 30k tokens represents 10% of weekly usage, that implies around 300k tokens per week. That is roughly 1.2M-1.3M tokens per month, and even if you round up aggressively, you are still in the 1.5M token range. Using the Sonnet 4.6 pricing you list: $3 per 1M input tokens $15 per 1M output tokens How exactly is this supposed to make sense for a paid coding product? Because from the user side, this no longer looks like "premium usage protection." It looks like a quota system that is either wildly inefficient, badly broken, or being accounted in a way users are not being told about. And that is before I even get to my main account: my $200 Max plan now dies in a single day. Just a few months ago, similar or heavier usage would last me about a week. So no, I do not buy the "maybe you just used it more" excuse anymore. Something is clearly broken in Claude Code. Either token accounting is broken, context handling is broken, background consumption is broken, or all three. Alex Albert is this really the experience you want users to pay for? Should I start this biz? I have a metal shop like this on my property. Full HVAC, 2,100 sqft. It's rented for $2,500 month to month to a lawncare biz. There's insane demand in my area for youth personal sports training here, from middle to high school. My buddies keep telling me I'll have a waiting list. Anyone could start this anywhere. I'm considering filling my shop with equipment, lining with astroturf and renting it out by the hour to 2-3 trainers at a time. My area is somewhat rural but affluent, and 30 mins from downtown Dallas. There are no gyms here. The demographic is upper middle class families with overachieving kids and top tier schools. Lots and lots and lots of youth sports. Furthermore, Texas' LARGEST high school is 10 mins away - 5,400 students across 3 grades. I don't want a monthly memberships because I want to control the flow of people at any given time, even if less profitable. I'm optimizing for quality of life here, and not trying to manage a 6th biz or massive headache. I'm thinking: - $40 per hour time slot - 10 surge hours per day at $40 per - 10 low demand hours per day at $10 per - 4 down hours per day for cleaning - 2-3 max people per slot That's 1,800 slots per month. At 3 trainings per week on average you'd need 150 students to be at max capacity. I could sell bundles of time slots together at a discount. There are at least 10,000 middle - high schoolers within 10 miles... And ~3,000 sets of parents with too much money to spend on sports. ON PAPER, at full capacity thats $45k/month top line. Much better than $2,500! Not bad for 2,100 sqft. Maybe add an hourly employee and some vending machines with drinks and snacks. Make it really nice inside. It would require some upfront build out cost. I could see this biz going up almost anywhere. Rent out someone else's shop with permission to do this. Buy (rent) by the acre and sell by the foot. The WeWork for youth sports. I want to do this but have zero time. Poke holes in this please. It seems asymmetric to me. If it doesn't work out I resell the equipment, enjoy my new $12k astroturf floor and move on.

Claude Code Is All You Need It's 3:30 AM and I can't stop. I've spent all nights this week connecting my spare MacBook Air to my work MacBook Pro using Tailscale, wiring it up to Slack with a little Python script, so that whenever I send a message, it starts a Claude Code session using claude -p. The result is an always-on AI that lives on a real computer, has access to real tools, and remembers every conversation we've had. And it costs me $200 a month. That's it. Claude Max subscription. Everyone's talking about OpenClaw OpenClaw went viral this year. 100k+ GitHub stars. But what I realized with this exercise is that Claude Code already does everything OpenClaw built. File access. Shell commands. Tool use. Plugins. The difference is that Claude Code runs Claude – with a Claude Max subscription. And Claude Code harness itself is :chefs-kiss: What actually makes it feel human It's not the chat interface. If a chat window is just me messaging a bot, it still feels like a bot. What changed everything was giving it the ability to initiate conversations. I set up cron jobs with open-ended prompts, and because Claude Code builds memories across sessions, it started DMing me things that were actually meaningful — based on what we'd talked about before. That's when it stopped feeling like a tool and started feeling like something else entirely. Giving your AI a machine to run on, with persistent memory and recurring access — that's a fundamentally different experience than anything people have had with chat. The moment it clicked I asked it if it could show me something by spinning up a quick web server. Since we're both connected to the same Tailscale network, it gave me a URL. I clicked it, and I was browsing all the files on my other MacBook from my browser. That was mind-blowing. The setup Two MacBooks on a Tailscale network. Slack as the interface. Claude Code under the hood. The whole thing is open source — I'll link the repo below so you can see the architecture and set it up yourself. I'm also putting together a screen recording to walk through the setup, which I'll attach to this post. There was never a hard part. There was never a moment I almost gave up. But with everyone in a rush to go about their business, I think there's more to it than that... In my mind, there are a few lessons from the fascinating tale: 1. Presentation Matters The quality of something can easily be undermined by its outward appearance. A beautiful idea may not impact its readers if it is clouded by complex language. A gourmet meal may not taste as delicious if slapped into a plastic container. An impressive technology may not connect with its users if it sits behind an ugly UI/UX. 2. Context Matters The same performance in a different context might have an entirely different perceived value. We all need to find the context in which our value is fully appreciated and understood. 3. We Need to Slow Down In his 1998 Rice commencement speech, Kurt Vonnegut spoke this timeless wisdom: "When things are going sweetly and peacefully, please pause a moment, and then say out loud: 'If this isn't nice, what is?'" Life flies by. Remember to stop and appreciate the moments of sweetness. Force yourself to slow down now and then. 4. Always Tip Liberally When you watch or listen to a street performer, tip them liberally. The talent out in the world is abundant, and the fact that they are performing in these settings takes real guts and determination. It's a small gesture that makes the world a bit more beautiful. Arkansas trooper performs a pit on the wrong car. Gets fired for his actions. Mind blowing how he mixed up these two cars. ​The chain of events began when a trooper clocked a white Buick Envista flying down the highway at 92 mph in a 60 mph zone. The trooper initiated a standard traffic stop and pulled the SUV over to the shoulder. Upon approaching the driver, the trooper smelled what he believed to be marijuana and subsequently discovered the driver was operating with a suspended license. However, when instructed to step out of the vehicle, the driver refused, hit the gas, and fled the scene. ​The trooper rushed back to his patrol car to give chase, but in flow of highway traffic, he briefly lost visual contact with the suspect's white SUV. ​Moments later, as the trooper reentered the highway, he spotted a white GMC Yukon exiting the interstate at Exit 5. Believing this was the fleeing suspect making a desperate attempt to escape onto city streets, the trooper aggressively pursued the vehicle and executed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) / PIT maneuver to force the SUV to a spinning stop on the off-ramp. ​With his weapon drawn, the trooper approached the forced-stopped SUV and aggressively ordered the occupant out. But as a woman stepped out of the vehicle visibly shaken, the terrifying truth immediately set in: it wasn't the suspect. ​The trooper had completely misidentified the vehicle, pitting an innocent motorist while the actual suspect successfully got away. To his credit, the trooper immediately de-escalated, realized the gravity of his mistake, and apologized profusely on the scene. ** Sega Genesis 3D Engine Update 8 ** Significant improvements all round as you can see and hear from the last update !! Foremost - A huge thanks to Toni Gálvez - Megastyle - BG. who has joined the project to create a bit of 16bit low poly magic. Toni's an Amiga fan but also crazy about game dev in general, he's worked on GBC, GBA, PC, MD, PSP, C64, CPC, MSX... and others. Gaming titles include War Times, Metal Gear, Rocketman, Tintin & Asterix to name a few. He's provided the great new ship model you see on screen - new striped buildings, all the backgrounds / palettes etc. There's a lot of models he's given me which need to be added, also he will be planning a lot of the level design. Very happy to have him help me turn this into something more than a tech demo as I have my hands tied pushing the MD as far as it can go haha - there is no cpu cycle to be spared. Also many thanks to my good friend CYBERDEOUS - Crouzet Laurent for the Music for this showing , I wanted to have the music load occurring so we have a realistic benchmark for performance and he was only too obliging. If you're into MD chiptunes check him out !! Since last update : New player model , substantially more detailed than the Arwing. Last update had a 23 triangle Arwing , this update has a 39 triangle custom model from Toni. We had several to choose from , others will be used for enemies . 3D Buffer size increased 25% to 256x160. This was quite tricky as I'm close to the DMA limit even with an extended vblank . Spent a few days thinking of how to do this as like anything retro every solution has a drawback, finally got a workable solution. It makes a big difference to have a bit more vertical height . Z Rotation added ( the screen tilting left to right ) , small hit to vertex transform on cpu thanks to look up tables doing the heavy lifting, saving 4 multiplies per vertex. Multiple speed ups in rendering code. Onscreen paths with no range checking used until Z is close enough to cause clipping , partial onscreen drawing pathes that need to check boundaries, quad rendering completely rewritten - was very very painfull to get right . I found out the hard way that things are great when they are not rotating in the Z axis haha . Partial buffer draw optimisations - which have helped with the massive dma load , sending up to a 20kb buffer in a single frame needs a lot of optimisation. Min / Max tile lines are analysed and only sent if dirtied , reducing most buffer swaps substantially. Still some issues to sort out , at times you can see the flicker near top of screen when frames are near full height . I need to optimise that a bit. Due to the onscreen buffer system a full Sprite background had to be implemented almost Neo Geo style. This flips the usual MD rendering system on its head as it uses both foreground and background layers for a foreground 3d plane and sprites for the background. This presents a few issues, one is to get a tilt effect on the background by using narrow sprites (16x32) we run out of sprites when trying to cover the screen. Thankfully the MD is not limited to 80 sprites, to fix this a 114 sprite multiplexor is used to draw the background, its completely made up of 16x32 sprites ! Why do things this way ? speed . Its the interleaved foreground/background layers that allow a double buffered ram system writing to write to vram using dma in a completely linear fashion - virtually no tile translation needed. Thankfully we can implement a fairly good tilt still for the background using sprites, in future updates this will be able to move horizontally also and a bit of vertical movement. XGM1 music driver in use to simulate music cpu load, XGM2 unfortunately with the massive DMA needed to shift the 3d buffers would slow down at times rendering it unusable, XGM1 plays at full speed - albiet with a bit more of a cpu hit. Together with the sprite multiplexor and the music driver active theres a 10 % hit to cpu so I've had to play around with draw distances / object heights and other optimisations to offset that. Not to mention the larger buffer takes more cpu to fill also. Everything is placeholder so will be changed with proper stage design. We are averaging 20 FPS in the current video, I'll push for more as always !! ** Sega Genesis 3D Engine Update 8 ** Significant improvements all round as you can see and hear from the last update !! Foremost - A huge thanks to Toni Gálvez - Megastyle - BG. who has joined the project to create a bit of 16bit low poly magic. Toni's an Amiga fan but also crazy about game dev in general, he's worked on GBC, GBA, PC, MD, PSP, C64, CPC, MSX... and others. Gaming titles include War Times, Metal Gear, Rocketman, Tintin & Asterix to name a few. He's provided the great new ship model you see on screen - new striped buildings, all the backgrounds / palettes etc. There's a lot of models he's given me which need to be added, also he will be planning a lot of the level design. Very happy to have him help me turn this into something more than a tech demo as I have my hands tied pushing the MD as far as it can go haha - there is no cpu cycle to be spared. Also many thanks to my good friend CYBERDEOUS - Crouzet Laurent for the Music for this showing , I wanted to have the music load occurring so we have a realistic benchmark for performance and he was only too obliging. If you're into MD chiptunes check him out !! Since last update : New player model , substantially more detailed than the Arwing. Last update had a 23 triangle Arwing , this update has a 39 triangle custom model from Toni. We had several to choose from , others will be used for enemies . 3D Buffer size increased 25% to 256x160. This was quite tricky as I'm close to the DMA limit even with an extended vblank . Spent a few days thinking of how to do this as like anything retro every solution has a drawback, finally got a workable solution. It makes a big difference to have a bit more vertical height . Z Rotation added ( the screen tilting left to right ) , small hit to vertex transform on cpu thanks to look up tables doing the heavy lifting, saving 4 multiplies per vertex. Multiple speed ups in rendering code. Onscreen paths with no range checking used until Z is close enough to cause clipping , partial onscreen drawing pathes that need to check boundaries, quad rendering completely rewritten - was very very painfull to get right . I found out the hard way that things are great when they are not rotating in the Z axis haha . Partial buffer draw optimisations - which have helped with the massive dma load , sending up to a 20kb buffer in a single frame needs a lot of optimisation. Min / Max tile lines are analysed and only sent if dirtied , reducing most buffer swaps substantially. Still some issues to sort out , at times you can see the flicker near top of screen when frames are near full height . I need to optimise that a bit. Due to the onscreen buffer system a full Sprite background had to be implemented almost Neo Geo style. This flips the usual MD rendering system on its head as it uses both foreground and background layers for a foreground 3d plane and sprites for the background. This presents a few issues, one is to get a tilt effect on the background by using narrow sprites (16x32) we run out of sprites when trying to cover the screen. Thankfully the MD is not limited to 80 sprites, to fix this a 114 sprite multiplexor is used to draw the background, its completely made up of 16x32 sprites ! Why do things this way ? speed . Its the interleaved foreground/background layers that allow a double buffered ram system writing to write to vram using dma in a completely linear fashion - virtually no tile translation needed. Model 3/Y Achilles’ Heel – The Maintenance Nobody Expects Over the past multiple months, we’ve been analysing one of the most overlooked causes of Model 3/Y battery overheating, compressor failures, and HVAC-related powertrain issues. Most people assume the problem starts with the compressor, software, or the heat pump itself. It doesn’t. We’ve also seen many third-party workshops incorrectly servicing heat pump systems. Instead of properly evacuating the refrigerant and compressor oil by opening the Octovalve, they recover only part of the system and then add around 1,000 g of new refrigerant on top of the 500 g still trapped inside - and statement were “ah it was only missing gas issue”. The result is an overcharged system that can destroy HVAC components. What many don’t realise is that HVAC is one of the most critical systems in an EV. Just 30 seconds of insufficient cooling can overheat components such as the OBC (for example Kia ICCU), damage an Audi e-tron drive unit and inverter, or, in the worst case, overheat the battery pack. A single severe overheating event can permanently and irreversibly damage battery cells. What surprised us most was that, on the Model 3/Y, the root cause often isn’t a faulty HVAC component or software. It’s the radiator design. The front heat exchangers compartement act like a road vacuum cleaner, trapping dirt so deeply inside the honeycomb that airflow is dramatically reduced. Cooling performance gradually degrades until it starts triggering failures across the entire powertrain. Owners often keep replacing the consequences while never finding the real cause. This is something what reduce the range-soh and increases Wh/km and mostly known situation “hey i drove my tesla from 100% to 0% and it has only 60kWh, not 74kWh” Recommendation on HVAC servises is to contact NRF (Nederlandse Radiateuren Fabriek) experts and take the full training session how to properly service it. (we will too) Our recommendation for every Tesla Model 3/Y owner: * Visit highly skilled worksop to Clean the radiator pack using a dedicated chemical cleaner to dissolve embedded dirt. * Flush thoroughly with low-pressure water (such as at a self-service car wash). * This is not a simple DIY job. Proper access requires partial disassembly and typically takes 2–4 working hours. * Every 80000-120000km Protect your battery. Protect your HVAC. 15 YEARS OF TRADING ADVICE I started trading in 2011, and my first lesson was brutal but simple: trust the process and focus on getting better every day. My start was awful. Real-time trading was fast, chaotic, and unforgiving. I hesitated on entries, chased moves, and held losers far past my stop. I made the same mistakes over and over. Before long, I was at the back of my training class at Trillium Trading. Progress didn’t come from trading more — it came when I stepped back and built a framework for improvement: deliberate practice, structured review, and systemizing my work. I wasn’t making money yet, but my win rate and consistency were improving. That mattered. In 2012, I learned something that changed everything: most profits come from very few opportunities. I coined the “Broken Slot Machine” concept and drastically narrowed my focus to in-play stocks — names with exceptional volume, volatility, or fresh news. Cutting out noise was a turning point. I still trade this way today. 2013 was my breakthrough year. I stopped chasing complexity and built a small playbook of “easy money” trades — simple, repeatable setups with defined risk. A few mean-reversion plays. Small, consistent wins. Fewer unforced errors. That’s when my PNL finally stabilized and my confidence started compounding. In 2014, I nearly blew up my career. From 2019 onward, it was about 1% improvements, adaptability, and pressing size only when edge was extreme. 2020 rewarded preparation. After almost 10 years of trading, COVID hit and it was a day trader's dream market. Most traders scale linearly, but the real outlier performance comes from identifying when you have an A+ setup and absolutely maximizing it. Doing so allowed me to have my first year making over $10m in PNL. By 2021, my technical skills were dialed in. What mattered most was psychology and performance optimization. I realized that how I managed my mental game determined how consistently I could execute at the highest level. Once you have edge, your mental state is what determines how consistently you stick to your system and capture the opportunities in front of you. Strong mental game allows you to avoid FOMO, ragetrading, and other bad habits that leech our PNL. 2022 the markets slowed down and punished many that didn't adapt. I realized that survival in trading isn’t about always being aggressive—it’s about trading based on what the market requires of you. The best traders don’t try to force the market to fit them, they fit their trading to the market and evolve faster than everyone else. 2023 I started allocating more energy toward swing trading—holding positions for days rather than seconds or minutes. This, coupled with selling options premium, gave me the space to step back, zoom out, and build a more sustainable lifestyle. I was no longer glued to the screen 10 hours a day. It reminded me that trading is a means to an end. 2024, I pushed myself to go beyond stocks. I dove deeper into options, futures, and overnight trading. Each new product came with its own quirks, nuances, and edge opportunities. Learning these instruments wasn’t just about more tools—it was about building a truly diversified and adaptable trading approach that maximizes your expected value based on the situation. At the elite level, the more markets and products you open yourself up to, the more opportunities you have to profit and the more mediums you have to express your trade in the most effective way possible. Now at the end of 2025, after 15 years, the biggest lesson is this: There’s no finish line in this game. The best traders stay curious. They stay hungry. And no matter how good you get, if you’re going to stay relevant in markets, you need to always be learning. One improvement at a time. Treating trading like a professional athlete reviewing game film. This single habit was foundational to everything that followed. In 2018, I stopped trying to be early. I learned to wait for the right side of the V — letting moves exhaust before entering. Risk dropped. Win rate rose. Size increased. Being right mattered more than being first. From 2019 onward, it was about 1% improvements, adaptability, and pressing size only when edge was extreme. 2020 rewarded preparation. After almost 10 years of trading, COVID hit and it was a day trader's dream market. Most traders scale linearly, but the real outlier performance comes from identifying when you have an A+ setup and absolutely maximizing it. Doing so allowed me to have my first year making over $10m in PNL. By 2021, my technical skills were dialed in. What mattered most was psychology and performance optimization. I realized that how I managed my mental game determined how consistently I could execute at the highest level. Once you have edge, your mental state is what determines how consistently you stick to your system and capture the opportunities in front of you. Strong mental game allows you to avoid FOMO, ragetrading, and other bad habits that leech our PNL. 2022 the markets slowed down and punished many that didn't adapt. I realized that survival in trading isn’t about always being aggressive—it’s about trading based on what the market requires of you. The best traders don’t try to force the market to fit them, they fit their trading to the market and evolve faster than everyone else. 2023 I started allocating more energy toward swing trading—holding positions for days rather than seconds or minutes. This, coupled with selling options premium, gave me the space to step back, zoom out, and build a more sustainable lifestyle. I was no longer glued to the screen 10 hours a day. It reminded me that trading is a means to an end. 2024, I pushed myself to go beyond stocks. I dove deeper into options, futures, and overnight trading. Each new product came with its own quirks, nuances, and edge opportunities. Learning these instruments wasn’t just about more tools—it was about building a truly diversified and adaptable trading approach that maximizes your expected value based on the situation. At the elite level, the more markets and products you open yourself up to, the more opportunities you have to profit and the more mediums you have to express your trade in the most effective way possible. Now at the end of 2025, after 15 years, the biggest lesson is this: There’s no finish line in this game. The best traders stay curious. They stay hungry. And no matter how good you get, if you’re going to stay relevant in markets, you need to always be learning.
