It's always fascinating to watch the outflow valve (OFV) close during takeoff. This marks the beginning of the aircraft’s pre-pressurisation cycle. While it does provide a smoother transition to pressurised flight and improves passenger comfort, its main purpose goes beyond that. The primary reason for closing the outflow valve at takeoff is to prevent a slight pressure bump that occurs during aircraft rotation. The Splitter device, currently under testing, performs leaflet modification by creating an intentional U-shaped excision of the valve’s cusp tissue by a steerable catheter with an electrocutting wire loop running inside a cutting head that mimics alligator jaws.

The lack of "feature design" is why so many products over time feel hollow or messy. This isn't visual design. This isn't architectural design. I thought that a short video lecture of what feature design is and a real case study of applying it in Ghostty would be helpful. Feature design is the planning step behind how you're going to solve one or more user problems with a product feature: what that feature looks like, how it feels, and not just how its going to tactically solve these specific problems, but how that solution is going to interface with the edges of other features that currently exist or are planned to exist in the future.

This woman said it’s time to stop watering the backyard so she needs to go turn off the valve. Sprinkler system? No, no. She lives in an area of Arizona where they use canals to water their yards. They are on a watering schedule given to them by the city. They turn on an irrigation valve which floods their backyard. When she turns it off she has to wear boots and wades through the water. 🤯 She has to do this again in two weeks. She said when her kids get home they will go play in the water and have some fun. I’ve never seen this before or ever heard of it . Have you ever seen or heard of such a thing? Is this good for the yard? The concrete walls? The foundation of the house? The trees? Would you buy a house knowing this is how they water their yard?

The CS2 update we have been waiting for is finally here. Valve has created a Beta branch for animgraph2 for third person animations. This is NOT an April fools joke. While everyone was watching the launch of Artemis II, Valve suddenly released what they've been working on for the past couple of years. What this means is that the entire animation system for third person models has been completely redone. No longer does it use the unoptimized Half-Life: Alyx system. This significantly reduces packet size. You can now tell when someone is counter-strafing, and properly predict their movements based on visual feedback. Another massive change here is that the player's view now is accurate to the player model, meaning that we have a variable player height of +-4 units. You'll immediately notice that the player seems shorter. This completely changes many many angles, as well as many utility lineups, particularly when standing on slopes. Notice in my video example how you can no longer see over the Dust2 A site boxes from A ramp. The change is currently in Beta, so it's all subject to change. I will be testing it out extensively and making a video about my thoughts. First impressions: I am VERY excited about this, more so than the Artemis II rocket taking humans back to the moon for the first time in forever.

It is my belief that treating lymphopenia in patients with low NK and T cell count, is as essential as treating anemia (low red blood cells count) or neutropenia (low neutrophil count) which occurs as a consequence of chemotherapy, independent of tumor types. This will herald in the paradigm change of treating the immune system itself and allow the immune system to cure the cancer, regardless of its anatomical location. The long-term survival in patients with bladder cancer and now in lung cancer provide evidence of the potential validity of this hypothesis, with ANKTVIA as the foundation of the Bioshield platform.

OK SO FINALLY I have a means to show you what I have been saying for a while.......Watch this clip, share it, so people understand what we are saying here!!! Here is what I have been saying.....The Front door is a material called EXPANDED METAL, YOU CAN SEE THROUGH IT. The Door IS a Security Door, that you would have to cut through with two locks. A Lock that can be unlocked via a key on the handle, and a DEADbolt lock that would be locked on the inside of the door. This PREVENTS someone from being able to attack you when you OPEN the HOUSE door that is inside it, and behind this screen door. That door only opens when that deadbolt is unlocked from inside! ALso notice we see NO damage to the door or frame in this video!!

What you are looking at is a 2005 GMC Canyon that came in for an AC issue. Right away I found the Schrader valve leaking Freon. I evacuated the system to replace both high and low side Schrader valves and came to find out it was full of refrigerant at 0.73 kilograms, which is full to specifications. The last shop told the owner the system was junk and needed everything replaced: compressor, condenser, and all. Want to know what the problem was? They unplugged the compressor clutch and said the system was cooked. I plugged the compressor back in, replaced the Schrader valves, evacuated and refilled it. It blows ice cold, and the low side was running at 30 psi on a 90-degree day. There are some very shady motherfuckers in Vegas, that’s what I have to say about that.

It is now the seventh day – something that has never happened before – of an emergency situation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Because of Russian shelling, the plant has been cut off from power, disconnected from the electrical grid, and is being supplied with electricity by diesel generators. This is extraordinary. The generators and the plant were not designed for this, have never operated in this mode for long, and we already have information that one generator has failed. It is Russian shelling that prevents repair of the power lines to the plant and the restoration of basic safety. This is a threat to everyone – no terrorist in the world has ever dared to do to a nuclear plant what Russia is doing. And it is right that the world does not stay silent.

By setting the intended Flight Level and Landing Altitude, in AUTO mode, the pressurization controller strives to maintain the cabin altitude slightly below the selected landing altitude. In case of a failure, it is possible to switch to MANUAL ops if the AUTO & ALTN modes failed. In MANUAL, it allows full control of the cabin altitude and pilots refer to a placard to set the cabin altitude accordingly to the flight level by opening/closing manually the outflow valve.
