LSU Linebacker Drill!🚨🚨🚨 LSU Tigers linebackers are working on shuffling while keeping inside leverage of the ball carrier. Once the ball carrier commits to a hole, linebacker shoots his gap while staying low and keeping a good base. You want the linebackers to keep running their feet after contact. Over exaggerate wrapping and squeezing the ball carrier to create a good habit of always wrapping up when making a tackle! LSU Football

Gains with Eddie Pepperell 🔥 Working with EP on laying the club down more efficiently in transition so that he can keep his sternum turning over his pelvis better in transition. He loves the feeling of being able to cover and get back on top of the ball with some rotation, so our goal here is to match his preferences & intent with a shaft pitch that offsets it. One of the best ball strikers in the game 👊

Closeout Drill has many variations we’ve worked with. The DB takes off opposite the WR and chooses any of the 3 cones as a break point. The WR must get his head around, locate the DB and closeout the space for an effective block. The yoga ball simulates the ball carrier.

Just stumbled on this play. Watch the angle of departure for Bullock. Didn't get a great jump on the throw but there's no fat on his transition and close. Stingley's recovery speed and ball tracking means BTJ never has a chance, but on a perfect throw, Bullock would be there.
