Travis Hunter on his first career interception: “(Anthony Campanile) called the perfect call for us. We all talked, and we communicated on my side of the ball, and I just made it happen.” “It felt great, but I was on to the next play. That happened in the second...

Brock Purdy on his favorite play in his career: “It was the game before the NFCCG against the Packers. We didn’t play the best on offense, but we needed this drive at the end of the game to go up. It was a 3rd down play and it was Brandon Aiyuk over the middle. We call it Gucci. It was a 6 step slant, cross the nickel’s face. It was man to man coverage, and it was on time. I threw it on plant, BA turned at the right time. It was tight coverage. DB reached across. We got the ball there and it was a diving catch. I was like 'Bro', boom we get the first down. We’re staying on the field. From there we won the game. We won the NFC Championship game after that. We got to the Super Bowl, but it was that play. If that play didn’t happen, getting to the NFCCG and the Super Bowl wouldn’t have happened… Those are the things I remember. I love that stuff. I live for it.” 🎥: Richard Sherman

Brian Urlacher says the one play from the Bears’ Super Bowl loss to Indianapolis that he still believes could have changed the outcome was when he dove on a fumble instead of trying to scoop and score, and explains how he abandoned something they had practiced for years in that moment “What happened? So what I remember, if you want to be personal, like what I didn’t do in that game, so all year long, or all of Lovie’s whole career, we practiced picking the ball up when it’s on the ground and scoring. No matter if it’s an incomplete pass, a fumble, whatever it is, we pick it up and score. “Mark Anderson causes a fumble, and it’s right there in front of me. So if I pick it up and score. I mean, I should have picked it up. I tried to dive on it, and there’s no one in front of me.” “So if I just pick it up like we’d been practicing for his whole coaching tenure, I score. There’s no doubt, because back then I could still run. But I try to dive on it, I knock it toward our end zone. We get the ball back anyway, but we don’t score on the drive. We end up turning it back over to them.” “In my mind, if I pick that ball up and score, we win the game. That’s what I think. I don’t know when that was in the game, maybe second, third quarter, but that’s what I remember. But we just, God, we made so many bad plays. We busted a coverage on Reggie Wayne’s touchdown. We’re supposed to play Cover 2 on third-and-13. Safety didn’t get the check, allegedly, so we play Cover 1. Just not good plays.”

🗣️ Mikel Arteta on the immediate feeling after the game: "Extremely disappointed. But first I think we have to congratulate Brighton for the victory. I think they deserve it, I think they were the better team. "From our side, there were certain basics you need to accomplish in football, especially in the Premier League that we were very far from. "Winning the first duel, the second ball, that put to the game, especially how direct they were in a really difficult place for us. "On top of that, especially in our own half, we didn’t respect any of the principles of play to get out of that man-to-man situation. That puts us on the back foot, so it was very difficult to control the game. "When we had moments of dominance and control, we did open them up, but we didn’t finish those actions with the quality that is required to compensate for the things we did wrong. "So overall, they deserved to win the game, and it’s a big lesson for us."

Liam Coen was all over the place when asked if Travis Hunter’s juke of Tee Higgins made him think about getting Hunter the ball more 🤣 He did finish with a statement on the thought behind his usage: “What you guys want more of, and I get it, but look at the last two weeks what he’s been able to do while we stay firm on the plan. So will it come? Absolutely.” #Jaguars #DUUUVAL

Jared McCain on if he knew he’d get traded: “No. Not at all. We were on the bus to the airport and just got a call. I had no feeling. I didn’t think it was gonna happen to be honest. I got the call and went to Tyrese first. It was pretty emotional.”

Tracee Ellis Ross says a show with a quarter of her viewership got the Late Night bookings that she never did "never asked on a late night show. No. it was Jay Leno and I had girlfriends and the comment was 'we love Tracee call us when she gets something' while on girlfriends" "I was like get what? what else do you have to get? We love her but it was not considered. And the other thing was I remember this...I remember specifically the show Monk that show had a quarter of our viewership" "I remember seeing him on the show and I was so confused is it viewership? And the only thing you can boil it down to you're like is it just racism?" "never went to the Emmys...The first time I went to the Emmys was on Blackish"

Arteta on making so many changes: “There are two actions defensively that we suffered a little bit. I don't think it's because of his position, but we altered things. We had to. But as well with the game that I expected, bringing Mosquera was going to lock something that we really believed that it can give us the fluidity and the chance to hurt them. “But sometimes you have to make another change and the one on Zubimendi was tough, but I really felt it that we had to put two attacking midfielders in that moment to generate all the kind of issues and threats, and thank God it worked out.”

Selena Gomez reveals how Benny Blanco proposed to her. “I thought we had a shoot that day, so I had hair and makeup done, and I was just going about my regular day. I got into the car, and I was thinking to myself, ‘Where are we going?’ Because at that point, I felt like I knew all the studios I usually go to” “It was just me and my security guard, and he was laughing because he was just like, ‘I don’t know. It’s a new space’” “We got out. I walked in, and all of a sudden, I saw no one in the room. I looked at my assistant, and she just shut the door. And I was like, ‘Uhhh…’” “I think you envision all the things you would do and say when someone proposes to you. But it is actually the craziest feeling. It was really special” “He said the sweetest things, but I was so shocked that it just felt unreal for a long time. I’ve always dreamed of that moment, and he couldn’t have made it more perfect. It was one of the best days of my life, for sure”

Steph Curry reveals how growing up in Toronto helped shape his game “It was different. I love the city. So diverse. There’s so much culture there. The Raptors, that was in the middle of insanity, so every game was unreal. It’s just too cold” “I lived up there for three years while my dad was finishing up his career” “I got to play against the best of the best in Ontario” “It was also kind of a nice shot for me to get away from North Carolina, where I was playing AAU and stuff, to just get a little bit of a different competition, a little different vibe, a different style of basketball, and build my confidence from there” “And then when I got back and started playing high school back in North Carolina, I think I was better off for it” “Me and my brother would go up to the Air Canada Center, go up to the practice facility, and we shoot for the first half, and then we go watch the second half” “We were junkies. We wanted to just get shots up and play one-on-one and work on our game, but we also wanted to go out and watch the best of the best do what they did”

Austin Reaves on his interaction with the ref: "I felt like I was respectful to all of them all night. A million times in the past, I've said way worse stuff. And when we were doing the whole tip ball and they were switching spots, I wanted to get on the other side because they had a guy on the other side, was just trying to keep an advantage. And he turned around and yelled in my face. I just thought it was disrespectful. The whole time that was going on over there, I don't think he said much to them. I know Ben (Taylor) stepped in and said something. But at the end of the day, we're grown men and I just didn't feel like he needed to yell in my face like that. I told him that. I wasn't disrespectful. I told him if I did that to him first, I would've gotten a tech. I feel like the only reason I didn't get a tech was because he knew he was in the wrong. I felt disrespected"

Mark Daigneault didn't call his first timeout in Game 3 until around halfway through the second quarter despite some big punches thrown by the Suns. I asked Mark about that decision and deciding to stick with his guys and allowing them to figure it out on the fly. “I trust our team, and if we can't handle tough situations, then we're not gonna do very much. So we gotta be able to fight through it, and we did. Doesn't mean I'll never call a timeout. But I thought coming on the road it was good just to get a little exposure to that and have to grind through it and the guys did a great job of it today.”
