A Faded Memory. Andersen's Pea Soup Restaurant opened in 1924, founded by Danish immigrant Anton Andersen and his wife Juliette. Originally a small roadside stand along what became U.S. Route 101, it grew into one of the most well-known stops in California. During the Great Depression, the business struggled until Juliette added split pea soup to the menu. It was simple, affordable, and filling and it ended up saving the restaurant. From there, it became a destination. By the 1930s-1960s, this was a major stop for travelers between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Tour buses lined the parking lot, families planned trips around it, and the restaurant served hundreds of people daily. The location became known for more than just food. Danish-style architecture, a windmill, gift shops, and the mascots Hap-Pea and Pea-Wee made it a full roadside attraction. Billboards across California counted down the miles until you arrived. For decades, it remained busy and became part of California road trip culture. But as highways improved and travel became faster, fewer people stopped. Over time, the crowds declined. Today, the building still stands, but the activity that once filled it is gone. What was once a packed destination is now a decaying reminder of our great past.

The ice breaker started by Pau and the conversation that was had. If these two aren’t one of the most down to earth, approachable and most humble people in the showbiz industry, then you’re a vile, scum of the earth and your head isn’t proper screwed up. Initiating conversation and with a focal point of interesting subject is one of their strongest suit to show fans they care and they notice all the hard work we put for them. I had the best day today, albeit, the busiest, most hectic, demanding, running around and finding out I actually am a very good maze runner by jumping and finding little spots to navigate my way around a tight spots within the crowd to get from point a to point b. All pictures and videos will be uploaded by KimPau Universe Official admins soon! PS, I would say sorry for not providing real time updates, but then again, the venue was packed (as seen on TFC LIVE feed) and this affected all of our members’ internet connection. Proudest of all our UK and EU members for displaying such admirable behaviour resulting in a very successful event. We have exceeded expectations and had done so with our hard work! Update: LAMATA provided atleast 15-25 BRT buses for Elepe commuters this Thursday morning. The lady who harrased Ella has been removed. Ella got funds for bolt rides from diaspora. As at 7:30am there was no queue, but there were exactly 7 extra buses down. Few area boys, LNSC officers, LAMATA monitoring team and patriotic Nigerians were present. We can’t confirm if Ella used the BRT today. A Nigerian group in diaspora led by DJ Obi and Keniye Koroye raised an undisclosed sum for her to cover transportation to work via bolt for the meantime, as they perceived probable risk at the brt station. They weren’t wrong. While live at Elepe, the conversation between the area boys and patriots was, Ella was planted to lead people to burn BRT buses. I’m going on a picnic today but took a detour to the tail end of Trooping the Colour: Gloriously sunny day The crowds are always big, but today they were huge! I’m always interested to see the wide range of people at these royal events. Young, old, male, female, white, black, brown, Londoners, northerners, locals, tourists – you name it, every group was there The 10/15 anti king people were enthusiastically shouted down with renditions of God Save the King and funny but unrepeatable calls for them to, er, get lost! I met some young French women who loved it all. ‘We only have Macron,’ they sighed! I missed the King and Queen going by but caught a glimpse of the Princess of Wales, Princess Charlotte, Prince George and Prince Louis. Their carriage got the biggest cheer from the crowd. ‘I love Kate’ sighed many excited young women. Crowd management was not great- maybe because there were so many people. Overall, one of the best Trooping the Colour events.

From his 20 years of daily activities to his forward thinking evolving technical capabilities, he shows us what the present moment is and what the future can look like in art. I believe Mike is one of the most down to Earth and influential artists working today in art and technology. How he and his brother, Scott, push the boundaries of art, experience, participation inspires us to think and create in new dynamic ways. Not only is he pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and show us things we have never seen before, he cares deeply about other artists; His community! Mike lead millions of artists to think about NFTs in 2021 which was a huge first step for the future of preserving art. Now in 2026, with the patronage of NODE, the organization of phil, and the graciousness of Micky 🐸, it is genuinely gearing up to be a massive paradigm shift for an art movement as we live and breathe. This is it folks! We like to say that we are in the golden age, or undergoing a digital art renaissance. It’s happening right now! And you who are reading this is part of it. On X, and in person. It requires us all who give a fuck to show up and support each other and make the art that’s true to us, and collect what we connect to or that moves us. To share how we each see the world from our perspectives in making art or experiences art; sharing ideas helps us become a collective consciousness and allows us to learn and grow together.
