@MalcolmNance Maybe they should have STFU and continued to let the CHIPS Act do its thing in bringing back semiconductor production. He could have eventually taken the win once those plants became fully functional. Boy, no….he has to destroy everything anyone else has done.

Congress has abrogated its power over tariffs to the executive branch. You would think that the least they could do is impose some semblance of oversight. They coould ask team Trump: "What's the gameplan here?" But they don't. Probably because they are unworthy cowards in office.

As someone who worked in manufacturing for 10+ yrs I don't see it as a way to make a living unless you can move your way up the ladder because most manufacturers in the US use temp services to find workers so they don't have to pay them a good wage or benefits.

Even if we do, no corporation is building factory lines over automated . Even in china they are replacing humans. If you’re building new it’s the obvious choice. It won’t create jobs. It will cost us.

Jensen Huang explains how he designed NVIDIA from first principles “With respect to building a company, the first thing you have to do—as with all problems—is start from first principles. What is this machine that we’re trying to create? What is its input? What is its output? What are the conditions that it’s in? What is the industry like? Is it a fast moving industry?
