@bonnie70822300 The investigation started almost 2 years before he submitted his candidacy paperwork. If anything, his campaign is interfering with the investigation.

You know what else is wrong, Bill Barr? That you used the DOJ to benefit Trump, lied about the Mueller Repert, and then left office before Christmas and the only thing that has happened to you is you’ve sold books and continue to make money off of appearances.

Bill Barr's perspective here is quite compelling. Drawing an analogy to a mayor facing charges puts things into a relatable context. It's important to separate legal proceedings from political considerations. If there's evidence of wrongdoing, waiting for an election to conclude doesn't negate the need for accountability. The principle of justice should always prevail over potential political implications.
