Unable to hurt Super Saiyan Trunks, Freeza tries to destroy Earth with the same technique he used to destroy Planets Vegeta and Namek, but Trunks, in the most aura farming scene in all of Dragon Ball Z, lifts it with ONE HAND. Trunks lifted the ball that destroyed PLANETS, with ONE hand. From DBZ #120. SoM x Neo Raw OBA

In the EARLY moments of the Goku vs Freeza battle, Goku quickly realizes that Freeza cannot sense ki. That no matter how fast or strong Freeza is, his biggest weakness is that he did not know how to sense energy, which is exactly what would lead to his defeat. This was the end of the 'scouter' and 'battle power' era of DBZ: the Earthlings (and Vegeta learned) were right the whole time: learning ki was way more valuable than technology. From DBZ #87 OBA 1080p

One of the COOLEST things DBZ ever did was do a scene where Trunks was reminising on the fight with 17 and 18 in the present and they presented it in FIRST PERSON VIEW! I LOVED this so much as a kid and as an adult, it STILL brings me joy! And yes, Mind Power Ki.

Goku's first Super Saiyan Transformation from a more manga-accurate viewpoint during the battle with Freeza. IF some day they actually DO a DB re-adaptation, they got this scene already done. From the 'Resurrection F TV Future Trunks Special Edition' aired on FujiTV in 2016.

FACT 17 was going to kill trunks but 18 intervened and pretended to finish him off herself but intentionally held back enough so he'd only get knocked out then when 17 wasn't looking she brought trunks to the hospital 18 SPARED trunks but trunks KILLED her because he is EVIL

Unable to cope with the fact that he was decisively beaten by a Saiyan, Freeza tries to launch a final cheap attack at Goku using the ki Goku shared with him out of mercy. This backfired. Freeza's ego could not handle being humiliated as Goku looks on with melancholy; not because Freeza was a 'good' person, but because he had potential to be a great martial artist and pissed it all away because of revenge. From Dragon Ball Z #105 OBA 1080p
