There's an option for Free Roam in the Pause menu. It unlocks a bit later.

Not making it open world was just an excuse to not care about environment life and details. Anyway they will still add a real openworld mode with better things

#5 You can't steal any cars and you can only enter from the left side of the car There's only one animation to enter the car and that's from the left side, during some in-game missions you aren't even allowed to get out of the car and explore the open world like this one here, I tried getting out of the car to walk on foot but the game didn't allow me to. This is because the Open World of MindsEye is extremely restricted, the Game doesn't want you do explore so it either forces you to move from point A to point B with a timer and most of the times it asks you to enter a car and you can't get out of it once you're inside the vehicle.

Hot Take: This is exactly what is wrong in Rockstar Game’s mission design. During this section in GTA V; I got stuck my vehicle between some rocks and I was trying to get it out As soon as I managed to get un-stuck, the Rockstar’s hand holding mechanism kicked in and the game decided it was a mission failed, prompting me to retry the mission. I don’t think these unnecessary mission failed screens should appear so often, especially in GTA VI. This is somewhat of an exaggeration but you get the point, sometimes just trying to take a different route or approach during a mission will get you the mission failed screen Recent Rockstar Games are rated M (GTA 6 too probably), so I don’t understand why Rockstar likes to treat gamers who play these games like children. Anyone with a logical brain will know that they’re stuck so they can pause the screen to restart from a checkpoint or destroy the vehicle to get the mission failed screen. I really hope that GTA VI offers more freedom for players when it comes to approaching missions and situation like these ones.

I revisited MindsEye to see if things have improved So far the game still feels like it is on its early alpha stage, you can free roam via Arcadia mode but the open world is shallow and empty, you still do basic things like hijacking cars, like the ones that have NPCs on them because there is probably not an animation for that, you can't even hijack parked cars. Performance is much better though, so I guess that's a plus

So this thing happened I went out of bounds in Samson and I'm currently exploring the city outside of Tyndalston. So far, tons of assets and buildings seem to be fully modeled in, some building also look like they were supposed to be enterable as you can only enter through the door. I also got this weird graphic glitch the further I went into the city, but this understandable as you were never supposed to be here. The NPCs are just staying in one place, all of which you can interact with and traffic seems to be working just fine. I'm starting to believe that the reason why the city wasn't fully done is because of the limited budget. Otherwise this is very ambitious as the game could've been much bigger than it currently is.

As far as I've played, it seems that almost all buildings in Crimson Desert are enterable. This can easily be overlooked, but it really does add so much depth to the open world knowing that you can enter almost every home and explore it if you want to.

Crimson Desert first impressions. The Open World is massive, it feels alive and it definitely holds up to my expectations when it comes to visuals. I know some reviewers have said the game takes up to 8 hours before it gets good but honestly I immediately fell in love with it and immediately started exploring. I found the puzzles and combat awesome to play with, once you get used to the controls which feel overwhelming at first, especially remembering all of them which can be a hassle first. The main protagonist Cliff hasn't clicked with me yet, right now I feel like he's just confused and there's not so much depth that he offers, I hope that will change as I progress through the story. The story itself and quests are quite interesting and I've actually had a good laugh in the beginning of the game when you have to help a couple struggling to clean the chimney. There are definitely some issues though, I feel like the starting stamina drains too quickly especially if you're using your wings to fly, if you run out of stamina while flying and fall into waters, Cliff will almost immediately drown because the Stamina bar is empty. I haven't encountered any bugs, crashes or stutters as of yet, however there are some ghosting issues when you enter buildings which can be quite distracting. Ray Regeneration on AMD GPUs tanks the performance so I just turned it off completely and instead I'm playing on Ultra Settings, which is a bummer because that tech looked very promising and made quite the difference when it came to visuals. Another weird issue that I had is trying to enter some doors or starting conversations with story character, the button to initiate the conversation wouldn't appear unless I went away and came back to a specific position before starting it. Some other issues include pop-in issues, camera movement and double NPCs with the same voice-lines if you greet them. Overall I think its a good start to a video-game that is quite massive in scale, there are still many things that I'll have to do and progress through before I give a conclusive opinion in this game.

Previously, you would be in front of a planet but not be able to travel much further to explore other planets in space. Now you can free roam space and travel to whatever planet you want to. Its worth noting that you cannot land on a planet seamlessly as you still have to open your map and select where to land.

1 hour in 1 minute started at 13,740 ended at 24,720 in 1 hour with 6x multipliers i made 10,980 the goal was 30k but genuinely this was so brain numningly boring that it actually brought my mood down lol, still crazy that at the rate it took me to do this it would take me 7 ish hours to get to 70k, and i rly dont want to sell my one and only halo just so i have something in my pocket. just saw the double exp weekend thing so ig i'll redo an hour or something when it comes out. yay, i can get to 70k in like 3-4 ish hours instead of 7. im just so sick of this. i dont feel like i can be excited for updates anymore because in order to interact with anything new in the game i have to waste hours of my life on actually nothing. this hour i could've been like oh i dont know, actually playing the game. working on my dorm, making an outfit, but yk i only did this to get that one val top bc thats the only one i find worth spending a full on hour to get bc it looks like something ill use often.

The open world of MindsEye feels like an empty shell of what could have been. I'm being honest, Redrock is beautiful and it is beautifully designed but that's about it. The fundamental issues of this game like lack of NPCs, activities, bugged out traffic system, limited open world exploration and what is an overall half-baked game results in nothing other than a good looking ghost town. Build a Rocket Boy shouldn't have released this game in this state.
